As part of our action plan, we collaborate with clients who are interested in enhancing their accessibility initiatives. We also engage with suppliers and allied businesses that are owned or operated by people with disabilities and neurodivergent people, and with organizations that support Canada’s accessibility journey, helping us to navigate the complexities of the disability job market.
We collaborate and work alongside several disability alliances and organizations that promote the hiring of people with disabilities and neurodivergent people within the community across Canada. Our partners include the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Lime Connect, Spinal Cord and Injury of Ontario, Ready, Willing and Able (RWA), and Special Olympics Ontario. Through these partnerships we engage with top talent from the disability and neurodivergence communities. We also host and participate in events and provide our people with support resources. These initiatives help us expand our talent pools and explore innovative ways to attract top, diverse talent to the firm.
The AccessAbility Network, one of our Employee Resource Groups, champions an accessible and inclusive workplace for all employees at Deloitte, particularly those identifying with a disability or as neurodivergent. This group has been instrumental in helping deliver on Deloitte Canada’s Accessibility Action Plan. They also challenge the firm to enhance its accessibility commitments, offer peer-to-peer support, and develop thought leadership on accessibility. Through regular programming, volunteer opportunities, and interactive workshops, the AccessAbility Network contributes to an accessible and inclusive culture that benefits both our workplace and our broader community.
