What will your typical day look like?

In this role, you will help leading financial institutions strengthen their financial crimes risk management programs through independent oversight testing and assurance activities. Leveraging your AML and controls expertise, you will assess the effectiveness of financial crimes controls, identify areas for enhancement, and provide practical recommendations that support regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.


As part of the Financial Crimes Testing team, you will play a key role in planning and executing end-to-end testing reviews across AML, sanctions, fraud, and related financial crimes programs. You will work closely with compliance, risk, and business stakeholders to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness, assess adherence to policies and regulatory requirements, and support the delivery of high-quality testing reports and issue management activities.


You will also have the opportunity to expand your experience across broader areas of financial crimes compliance, risk management, regulatory assurance, and governance while working with senior professionals and stakeholders across the organization.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in AML, Financial Crimes Compliance, Compliance Testing, Internal Audit, Risk Management, or regulatory assurance.
  • Experience executing control design and operating effectiveness testing.
  • Strong understanding of AML/ATF regulatory requirements and financial crimes risk management frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with AML testing, compliance testing, control testing, or internal audit programs.
  • Ability to evaluate both control design effectiveness and control operating effectiveness.
  • Experience identifying control deficiencies, root causes, and remediation opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of risk-based testing methodologies and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience developing testing procedures, test scripts, sampling methodologies, and working papers.
  • Knowledge of risk and control frameworks, governance processes, and issue management practices.
  • Ability to assess processes, controls, and roles and responsibilities to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced client environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills.
  • Experience working within large financial institutions is preferred.
  • CAMS, CFCS, CIA, CISA, CRMA, or similar professional certification is an asset.

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000 (Consultant) or $84,000 - $126,000 (Senior Consultant), and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
