What will your typical day look like?

 

 

As a Manager in the Finance Operations Advisory team, you will play a key role in supporting both client delivery and business development initiatives within both your regional and national teams. Every day look different, but typical day-to-day responsibilities can include:

 

  • Supporting business development efforts, including contributing to proposals and assisting in the pursuit of new opportunities
  • Preparing and delivering presentations and deliverables for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Facilitating client conversations and client workshops
  • Demonstrating strong leadership by supporting project management activities, including engagement planning, engagement economics, and stakeholder communication
  • Reviewing and refining client deliverables prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Deloitte standards
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members to enhance their technical expertise, communication skills, and overall professional development
  • Contributing to practice growth initiatives, including the development of new service offerings, thought leadership, and client-ready materials 

About the team

 

Our Finance Operations Advisory team is dedicated to enabling CFOs and Finance functions to operate at their highest potential. We leverage deep expertise in financial reporting, organizational design, controls, and process optimization to enhance the way Finance delivers value—focusing on how Finance executes its responsibilities and where it can drive greater impact across the organization.

 

Our core offerings include Finance Operating Model Optimization, CFO and Finance Effectiveness Workshops, Finance Diagnostics, and Finance Process Mapping and Redesign, alongside additional offerings designed to improve efficiency and effectiveness across processes, people, controls, documentation, systems, and tools.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

You are someone with:

 

  • CPA, CA designation and between 7 to 10 years of work experience
  • Experience leading a team and coaching junior team members
  • Strong technical skills and experience with accounting processes, internal controls, risk assessments, IFRS, ASPE, Public Sector Accounting Standards.
  • Experience in a finance role/in providing assurance, consulting & advisory services to finance functions; audit background considered an asset
  • Expertise in financial management disciplines such as financial process design, operating model design, technology implementation, budgeting and planning, financial reporting, financial performance management and business case development
  • Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities (experienced with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing client expectations and team leadership)
  • Ability to solve problems and think strategically (i.e., opportunities, recommendations)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, structured, and executive-ready deliverables (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, summary decks, and recommendation reports)
  • Highly adaptive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with a positive attitude towards change and innovation
  • Additional expertise in one or more of the following areas considered an asset: Process Redesign, Business IT Strategy, Corporate Strategy, or Shared Service

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $88,000 - $158,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
