What will your typical day look like?

As a Analyst or Consultant in the Insurance Solutions group within our Technology & Transformation Practice, you will work alongside clients and Deloitte teams to advise, implement, and operate technology-enabled services that drive modernization across the insurance industry.

  • Support delivery of client projects by helping implement technology solutions that improve service delivery and customer experience.
  • Work with clients and project teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and contribute to solution design.
  • Assist with requirements gathering workshops, documentation, and project coordination.
  • Help prepare proposals, presentations, and reports for clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and best practices while developing your own skills.
  • Stay current on evolving insurance industry trends and enabling technologies (e.g., Guidewire) to support solution design and delivery.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

  • You self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) in Canada
  • Experience working with First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples (and communities and expertise in issues faced by Indigenous peoples and communities in Canada)
  • Proficiency in an Indigenous language is a valuable asset. Your language skills can foster connections and enhance understanding within our diverse team, contributing to our commitment to reconciliation and inclusivity.

 

You are someone with:

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in managing a Business Integration effort and project team through multiple phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing
  • Experience in custom software development projects
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: requirements gathering (functional and/or technical), Quality Assurance / testing of functionality, development and solution architecture
  • Knowledge of the Canadian insurance landscape across property and casualty insurance, workers’ compensation, and life and health (preferred, but not mandatory)
  • Strong desire to learn in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the end-to-end delivery of implementation programs 


In addition, successful candidates will have the following preferred background:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification preferred
  • Hands-on technical expertise in integrating with multiple complex applications, including, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, microservices architectures, and third-party systems via REST or SOAP APIs.
  • Strong expertise in both relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and related technologies.
  • Experience delivering projects via an Agile/Scrum methodology and working knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc.
  • A strong Java, Javascript, Gosu, Python background
  • Strong knowledge and comprehension of standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, JSON, microservices, etc.)
  • Strong software development methodology understanding, and have assisted in the design, development, or testing of a technology integration project
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and client teams

Benefits


The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $102,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
