What will your typical day look like?

 

As a Research & Development (R&D) Specialist in Vaughan or Vancouver, you will be immersed in a highly collaborative environment working closely with research peers on building the knowledge that drives business decisions through the design, build and optimization of lab environments to analyze and solve complex research objectives. You will be constantly honing your tradecraft and toolset as you run with your ideas, documenting and presenting your findings as your explore areas such as applied machine learning, data analytics and security orchestration and automation.

The Deloitte Cyber Intelligence Centre Innovation and R&D group focuses on improving and advancing our capabilities as a managed security service provider through a diverse product portfolio.  Whether harnessing emerging technology or re-imagining tried and true methods in novel new ways, our ideas are applied to delivery of our core mission to protect clients as a one stop cyber security solution provider. 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

You are someone with:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant area of study with a preference for Computer Engineering, Information Security or Computer Science OR equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to understand technical conversations and translate into business impact, with a general understanding of innovative technology landscape
  • Strong initiative and entrepreneurial thinking, with ability to be self-directed and contribute intellectually to deliverables
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop relationships and conduct business conversations with cross-functional leadership
  • Good working knowledge of: GNU/Linux, Windows Server, TCP/IP Networking, Virtualization and Cloud concepts, Object-oriented Programming
