What will your typical day look like?


As a security operations Director, the successful candidate is responsible for managing a team of security analysts, content and cyber threat intelligence analysts at Deloitte’s Cyber Intelligence Centre in Vaughan.  Overall accountability for managing a team of security analysts, incident response, incident management, client escalations, maintaining SLAs and SLOs and regular cyber reporting to clients.

You are someone who will:                                          

  • Provide oversight and leadership for day-to-day CIC operations to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of client’s environments.
  • Develop and manage information security programs for the assigned client which consists of direct reports working on-site at the client location. This includes hiring, training, staff development, performance management and conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Develop maintain and publish up-to-date information security policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Provide regular reporting on the current status of the information security program to enterprise risk teams and senior business leaders.
  • Provide strategic risk guidance for IT projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls.
  • Manage security related incidents and events to protect corporate IT assets, including intellectual property, regulated data and the company's reputation.
  • Facilitate a metrics and reporting framework to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the program, facilitating appropriate resource allocation and increasing the maturity of the security program.
  • Maintain the security infrastructure, providing stability by following and using the tools, policies, processes and procedures available.
  • Provide reporting and metrics.
  • Resolve incidents impacting hosts or environment.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot security incident root causes when escalated.
