Our Indigenous Services Group, within the Financial Advisory practice, provides professional, expert advice to Indigenous communities and organizations to help meet objectives and build financially successful communities. We continue to innovate and develop creative solutions that assist Indigenous communities to deliver more effective programs and achieve greater returns from their resources. Deloitte has developed tools and brought people with the right expertise together to assist in strengthening and enhancing governance structures and business/wealth creation opportunities. We will work with you to implement a comprehensive approach that best matches your needs.


As a Trust Administrator, you will:  

Assist in the organization of trust meetings and prepare meeting materials

Attend trust meetings in Indigenous communities which may be in remote locations

Prepare the minutes of trust meetings and conduct follow up activities

Scan and electronically file all trust physical documents and provide file direction to file clerk for physical filing.

Manage day-to-day operations and administration of the trust files in conjunction with team

Assist in organizing annual community consultation process, including preparing consultation materials, responding to calls/emails from community members, administering the voting process and summarizing the results

Liaise with other trust service providers on trust matters as required, including legal counsel, investment managers, investment consultants, auditors, etc

Assist in the development of policies and procedures for trust operations, economic development or program guidelines

Prepare presentations, correspondence, annual reports and proposals as required and requested

Review monthly billings for trusts and prepare billings for other clients as delegated

Respond to Trustees and community members respectfully and promptly

Cultivate strong relationships with the client

Participate in Financial Advisory/office-wide activities

Assist on other projects and support as required

Posting Qualifications


1-2 years of administration experience

Computer skills (including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel) and ability to quickly learn Deloitte specific software

Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams

 Excellent attention to detail 

 Strong organization skills

 Experience working with indigenous clients is an asset

 Excellent time management and prioritization skills, ability to take instruction accurately, proactive with a sense of urgency, and ability to deliver on hard deadlines

 There will be frequent travel associated with this position
