The Senior Manager, Business Operations provides strategic and tactical leadership, coordination and oversight to front line and operations employees

What will your typical day look like?

 

As the BC Business Operations regional leader, you will be part of the regional leadership team setting regional marketplace strategy and responsible for aligning operations to support achievement of marketplace priorities. You will work with teams to find efficiencies and cost savings opportunities, and implement new and innovative ways of working to capitalize on these  You are at the forefront of delivering large scale workplace transformation as we prepare for the upcoming flagship Vancouver workplace move to Deloitte Summit, and also making just-in-time decisions about current operations in response to the fast pace of change in the business environment. You will inform and coordinate with the responsible contractors, engineers and other points of contact to resolve any safety violations, maintenance needs, etc. for each of our BC offices.  You will direct the BC region safety and security program to ensure safety and health requirements are me.

 

As we navigate our ‘new normal’ post COVID you will help drive decisions on the Future of Work for our BC offices putting the safety and well-being of our professionals first.   You are an enthusiastic and inclusive leader, who leads and inspires Business Operations professionals to work to their highest capabilities in order to provide exceptional client service while holding the team accountable for results. You are comfortable shifting gears from tactical discussions and tasks to facilitating strategic conversations about the future of the BC practice and how your dynamic team of operations and executive support professionals make a positive impact in the achievement of Deloitte’s priorities.

About the team

 

The Business Operations team is a group of high performing, dynamic professionals with expertise in hospitality, client experience, office operations, facilities management and executive administrative support. We work on a variety of projects and tasks, ranging from high-level strategy and execution on key initiatives like the Future of Work to value add administrative support for our Partners and Directors on their client engagements. Day to day, we collaborate closely across operations and with our colleagues in marketing, events, business development, HR, finance and others to deliver value add service to our clients. We are the team known for getting stuff done.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

You are someone who is/has:

  • Completed University undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is required
  • 4- 8 years’ operations experience at the senior management level; experience in professional services an asset
  • Previous experience leading medium to large scale workplace transformations or business change
  • Previous management experience with physical office moves and building out new office environment
  • Management experience leading other managers and teams
  • Demonstrated skill in vendor management and coordination
  • Experience managing financials and development of annual plans and budgets
  • Excellent 360-degree verbal and written communication skills, including group presentations
