Role and Responsibilities:

 

We are currently looking for qualified professionals with knowledge in the Insurance industry that has delivery and transformation experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter to join our Technology consulting practice. You will join a Deloitte team that prides itself by helping clients to not only solve complex business and technology problems but also to execute on the advice we provide. We work with a diverse group of clients around the world to help them to create competitive advantages, build innovative technology solutions and drive business outcomes for our clients. In your role as a Senior Consultant, you will have responsibility for:

  • Collaboratively working closely with business product owners, business analysts, developers and testers to ensure the solution is built in accordance to defined requirements
  • Ensuring that all deliverables are delivered on time to and to a high quality
  • Identifying, capturing, resolving or escalating risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
  • Working effectively as a team member sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress
  • Prioritizing objectives and contributing to project planning and status reporting
  • Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel
  • Building strong internal relationships within our consulting practice and across other services
  • Contributing to knowledge management within our Technology Consulting practice
  • Supervising junior staff and managing parts of client engagements
  • Experience and familiarity working in scrum and agile delivery for large Guidewire transformation programs
  • Work in a collaborative team analyzing client issues and interviewing key personnel
  • Assist with the development of recommendations and presentations for client engagements
  • Participate in client presentations
  • Identify issues, define symptoms and recommend solutions

Qualifications

 

Profile and Skillset:

 

  • Show potential to develop strong client relationships
  • Ability to create and deliver high quality presentations to client stakeholders and internal leadership teams
  • Team player who openly supports, encourages and shares knowledge with colleagues
  • Ability to work under limited supervision (‘self starter’) in unstructured environments
  • Track record of successful large transformation programs for insurance companies
  • Understanding of requirement management in package enabled transformation
  • Working knowledge of the different SDLC and project management methods such as SAFe, Scrum and Kanban
  • Strong understanding of solution architecture, design patterns and design modelling
  • Ability to understand and respond to project and customer needs, while working under tight deadlines

 

Position/Program Requirements:

 

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 3
  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree
  • Certification(s) Preferred: Guidewire functional certified in PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and /or ClaimCenter, Agile Certification

 

Posting Qualifications:

 

  •  Knowledge of P&C Insurance domain (Policy, Claims, and Billing applications as per product requirements)
  •  Certification in Guidewire are preferred
  •  Knowledge and demonstrated ability with Java or GOSU programming.
  •  Knowledge of J2EE, Application Servers, XML/Web Services/ RDBMS.
  •  Demonstrates a proven success record of completing projects involving the delivery of Guidewire applications, including ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter and/or BillingCenter.

 

Skills Preferred:

  • Previous experience associated with the design, development, modification and deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts with using design standards and best practices.
  • Policy Center, Billing Center and/or Claim Center Configuration development experience with relevant certification (Minimum Guidewire version is 7.x and above).
  • Experience with Agile methodology, Source version control, and Release management.
  • Prior experience in: planning, designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and maintaining GOSU language application code within Guidewire Policy Center, Billing Center and/or Claim Center.
  • Configures screen layouts, including creation of new screens (PCFs).
  • Experience writing business rules and other business logic.
  • Experience configuring operational and administration related parameters such as roles and permissions, user attributes regions, activity patterns etc.
  • Experience resolving issues identified during testing in regards to the configuration requirements.
  • Experience assisting in GOSU code reviews, code cleanups and perform sprint demos.
  • Experience handling the responsibility of organizing code merges and environment management tasks.
  • Prior experience performing minor and major Guidewire software upgrades.
