Deloitte seeks an Experienced Manager with significant event planning experience in corporate meetings and events. 

What will your typical day look like?

Along with extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry and venue management.  The successful candidate will be an integrated team member in leading key projects in support of the Client & Talent Experience at Deloitte Summit.

  • Manage complex & high impact events primarily in the Vancouver office (Deloitte Summit)
  • Bring a creative mindset with a focus on driving experience and value for our clients and people
  • Liaise and collaborate directly with Partners, clients, internal staff and enabling areas on event design and delivery
  • Co-lead in developing team processes and operating/experience standards
  • Work in collaboration with key enabling areas and contracted hospitality vendor (i.e.: Marketing, Technology, Security, Business Operations)
  • Plan and design logistical aspects for high-impact events including space design & utilization, room set up, audio visual and catering experience.
  • Bring capabilities in cost analysis and budgeting as well as vendor contract management.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in event planning, with experience on complex projects
  • Comfort in a supervisory/leadership role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under time pressure and deal effectively under stress
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Word, Excel & Outlook, including knowledge of event management systems (i.e.: Delphi, Cvent, Social Tables)
  • Flexibility to travel to attend on-site meetings when required
  • CMP preferred
  • Bilingualism (English, French) an asset
