Deloitte’s AOA team focuses on enabling CFO’s and their Finance teams for success. We focus on applying our deep knowledge of financial reporting requirements, controls and processes to the operational aspects of Finance - “How” Finance does what it needs to do and where it can enhance the value it brings to the organization.  Our core services include a broad range of technology advisory services from assessments, selections, and implementation advisory in addition to finance services including CFO / Finance Effectiveness Workshops, Finance Operating Model Assessments, Finance Process Mapping / Redesign, and “Fix Finance” projects (designed to remediate or upgrade finance processes, controls, documentation, systems and tools).

We are specifically looking for a Senior Manager level professional to work within our Technology Advisory practice, in the AOA Finance group, with strong problem solving skills (diagnostic and solution development), a breadth of knowledge with respect to the operational aspects of financial systems, in particular cloud based systems including ERP and Financial Planning & Analysis systems.

Short Description

As a Senior Manager in Technology Advisory you will:

  • Review and contribute to the planning and execution of projects arising in one or more of our core practices (systems assessments, systems selection advisory, and implementation advisory) with a particular focus around market leading cloud systems
  • Manage a small team (2-4) to facilitate the technology implementation with clients, and/or provide post-selection Technology services related to Solution Implementation
  • Contribute to market and eminence initiatives, including development of new service offerings and marketing campaigns within the practice
  • Develop and lead timely communications - both internal and external - relevant to our professionals and clients
  • Develop materials for and participate in the delivery of presentations to clients and firm personnel
  • Mentor and develop teams of advisory resources

Posting Qualifications
  • CPA designation with a minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in senior finance and systems role
  • Capacity to think about requirements from a strategic perspective (options available, pros / cons of different options)
  • Operational (ability to translate the “what is required” into the “how it’s done)
  • Process and controls, including IT (mapping, design, assessment)
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills 
  • Problem solving (ability to “find it” and “fix it”)
  • Project management discipline and structure
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Broad advisory skillsets (capacity to help client explore issues / opportunities)
  • Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities
  • Experienced with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing client expectations and team leadership
  • IT background is an asset
  • Experience with major ERP and Software solutions including NetSuite, SAP, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Adaptive Insights, and IBM Cognos considered a strong asset
