What will your typical day look like?

 

As a Security Systems Specialist, you will be a key player and part of a team providing world-class security systems operations for our clients. You will develop your career in supporting, maintaining and evolving Cyber Security monitoring infrastructure consisting of industry leading security platforms and applications used to mature our client’s security posture. Focus on skills development and learning are essential in this role which help you deliver industry leading insight and expertise our clients are seeking. Our clients will leverage your innovation and creativity to help in problem solving and improving service delivery operations.

About the team

 

The Security Systems team helps to manage and maintain technical infrastructure operations for SIEM platforms serving Deloitte’s Cyber Intelligence Centre and clients. Our Cyber Intelligence Centre is a 24/7 managed security service that provides security services to clients in all industries. The team is responsible for ensuring operational SLA’s are met and maintained while continuing to assist clients with the improving their security monitoring capabilities. Knowledge of network security devices, system administration, security operations processes, incident management, and professional services will help you to support delivery and execution of managed security services offered by Deloitte.

You are someone who has: / You are someone with:

•    Strong analytical, resourceful problem solving and troubleshooting experience with complex IT infrastructure environments
•    Experience managing 1 or more SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platforms including application functionality, integration and performance:
     o    Splunk Enterprise Security
     o    IBM QRadar
     o    Microsoft Sentinel
•    Understanding of network operations and data flow including firewall and VPN functionality
•    Technical working experience with various operating systems, virtualization and infrastructure monitoring:
      o    Server platforms (GNU/Linux, Windows Server.)
      o    Virtualized infrastructure (VMWare, Hyper-V etc.)
      o    Infrastructure monitoring (SolarWinds, Nagios etc.)
•    Understanding of Cloud environments
     o    Amazon AWS
     o    Microsoft Azure
     o    Google Cloud Platform
•    Strong communications, written and verbal
•    Client service-oriented mindset
•    Has previously had or is eligible to obtain government security clearance
