Summary

This is a 1-year fixed term employment opportunity to join the Strategy team supporting the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of a leading cloud technology provider. As an integral member of the team, you will drive strategic projects, support annual planning, and respond to high-priority executive requests. This role is ideal for a self-sustaining, analytically-minded professional who thrives in fast-paced, client-facing environments and is eager to contribute to high-impact marketing strategy initiatives.

Please note that the working hours for this role will be aligned to Pacific Time Zone.

What will your typical day look like?

You will operate as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert within the Strategy team, independently managing a diverse portfolio of strategic projects. Your mornings may involve building and refining complex data models (using SQL, Python, and Looker Studio) to evaluate marketing ROI or conducting deep dives into foundational business data models. Throughout the day, you will partner with client stakeholders to propose organizational improvements, contribute to annual planning efforts (such as budget allocation and performance target setting), and create high-quality, client-ready presentations and reports. You will serve as the primary point of contact for client leaders, proactively addressing their needs and supporting the broader Deloitte pod with onboarding, knowledge sharing, and administrative tasks. Occasionally, you’ll respond to urgent, high-priority requests from senior executives, demonstrating agility and resourcefulness in fast-changing situations.

You are someone with: 

• Minimum 2 years of experience in strategy, analytics, or consulting roles, ideally within a marketing or technology environment.
• Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex data analysis and build sophisticated financial models.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, with experience maintaining and developing complex SQL models; familiarity with Python for data science is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage projects end-to-end as a self-starter, operating independently without direct oversight.
• Strong client management skills, serving as the primary point of contact for mid- to senior-level stakeholders and adding value in executive-level discussions.
• Experience supporting annual planning processes, including strategy development, budget allocation, and performance target setting.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and the ability to act as a thought partner to client stakeholders.
• Excellence in content creation, producing client-ready presentations, documents, and spreadsheets in collaboration with client teams.
• Collaborative mindset, contributing to the management and knowledge-sharing within a small team, and taking responsibility for onboarding and educating peers.
• Agility and composure in responding to high-priority, last-minute executive requests.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $57,000 - $102,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
