What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work across a full range of services. That said, if you asked one of our current Consultants and Senior Consultants about the type of things they have actually done over the past year or so, they would likely include things like:
- Join a dynamic team to tackle complex client challenges and engage directly with influential client leaders.
- Take the stage and shine during impactful client presentations.
- Network with top-tier professionals including client executives, lawyers, and financial experts.
- Uncover critical issues, diagnose underlying symptoms, and craft innovative solutions.
- Set clear priorities and play a key role in project planning and progress tracking.
- Dive into financial data, scrutinize accounting records, and create sophisticated financial models.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on industry trends, economic factors, market transactions, and financial ratios.
- Craft compelling reports and contribute to the development of high-quality client deliverables.
About the team
Deloitte's valuation specialists provide complete and objective valuation services for both public and private companies for M&A, taxation, financial reporting, dispute and strategy purposes. We help clients through some of their most complex business matters. Our clients span a broad range of industries, including, but not limited to financial services, technology, media and communications, transportation, manufacturing, energy and resources, mining, distribution and retail, healthcare, hospitality, and waste management.
Our qualified, experienced professionals are part of a worldwide network with deep experience in a wide range of valuation issues. They can be engaged to:
- Provide fairness opinions and formal valuations (OSC Rule 61-101)
- Build financial models for corporate planning, deal assessment and other purposes
- Identify and value intangible assets, such as intellectual property, customer relationships, technology, trademarks/names, etc.
- Provide valuations of assets and business interest for taxation purposes
- Determine purchase price allocation and goodwill impairment
- Determine economic losses and value in a dispute setting
- Provide financial and operational research
- Perform cost segregation studies for income tax and financial statement reporting purposes
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone who has:
- Completed an undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials
- Must have a CPA/CA or have passed CPA exam or be writing the CPA exam
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience
- Willingness to enroll in a second designation
- Strong commitment to professional client service excellence
- Excellent interpersonal relations and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in teams
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
- Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving
- Canadian travel required and occasional international travel. Candidates must be able to enter the USA to work on client assignments.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $108,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
