This is a 24 month fixed term role with Deloitte Global (DTTL) ideal for a for a senior manager who would like to gain global experience, build a global network, build their personal brand and develop significant understanding of the global organization, This role provides a unique opportunity to build strategic planning and advisory skills, enhance operations management capabilities, and be at the forefront of global strategy execution. The candidate will interface with senior leaders from our Executive Member Firms and the wider global GA&A network. 

 

This individual will report directly to the Director, Talent, Global Audit and Assurance (GA&A), will be an integral part of the GA&A Talent team in leading the design and execution of Talent priorities and processes, collaborating with other global teams to understand and assess how global initiatives impact A&A Talent and work to achieve synergies and execute on plans.

What will your typical day look like?

 

 

 

Act as strategic partner to the Global A&A Talent Leader community and to other Global A&A functions, ensuring that the A&A Talent strategy is delivered against to evolve and continuously improve our A&A Talent capability and business performance across Deloitte A&A globally. 

 

  • Support the Director in driving the talent strategy and resource processes, identifying and strengthening capability to better position the A&A business to deliver its business strategy
  • Partner with member firm A&A Talent leaders and their HR teams on various Talent initiatives providing them with the support required to drive Global initiatives in the local member firm
  • Partner with the Global Talent team and MF stakeholders to support them in understanding the impact of the Quality enhancement and Transformation journey on our Talent including the level of resources required and the changing business shape of the future including supporting MFs in developing robust plans to activate the resource plans and processes and achieve business goals
  • Support MFs in creating the strategic framework for talent across Deloitte A&A to ensure that the best people are attracted, identified, developed, mobilized, performing at their best, and retained
  • Provide thought leadership and foster best practices in talent areas including but not limited to succession planning, diversity and inclusion, audit professional of the future, resource deployment and performance management processes
  • Support the Director in creating the environment where management of talent becomes part of the culture and a priority and accountability for managers
  • Work closely with Leadership to shape and create the agenda for key stakeholder meetings, i.e. A&A’s Talent Council meetings, Global A&A
  • Executive and specific content for Member Firm visits including leading the creation of relevant materials
  • Lead the Talent activities impacted by the Transformation initiatives, including strategic resource planning, development of roles of our professionals in the future including creating methods through which effective change can be achieved
  • Facilitate the collaboration of member firms to solve Talent challenges being faced by member firms.
  • Lead on the update and alignment of Global A&A Talent Standards for the evolving skillsets required for the Audit professional of the Future specifically including the impact of Transformation initiatives including use of global delivery Centres and world class tools and technologies.
  • Work and engage with key stakeholders across the Deloitte network to understand the impact of Deloitte initiatives on A&A professionals.
  • Oversee the project management of own Talent projects including but not limited to performance management and deployment of resources (including specialists), strategic resource planning, Audit professional of the future and implementation and activation of the Talent Models and Talent Standards to member firm
  • Provide assistance to member firms in the adoption and deployment of Talent Standards including those recently deployed and future talent standards.
  • Participate in other GA&A initiatives including global mobility and recruitment, diversity & inclusion, talent models and talent standards, succession management, global leadership evaluations, performance management, resource deployment, metric development and monitoring, and talent operations management.
  • Day-to-day management of the team members on various projects including acting as a go-to for junior team members and providing them with the relevant coaching and mentoring required.

You are someone with:

 

  • A  background, knowledge and experience in Human Capital/ Human Resources function as a Senior Manager 
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), presentation, influencing and persuasion skills
  • Simple knowledge of the A&A business and landscape (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent strategic thinker with a solutions focus and demonstrated experience in strategy development, business process improvement and operational excellence
  • Proven ability to be self-directed as necessary is critical
  • Able to work in virtual teams with a global, borderless, boundless mindset
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring team mem bers
