This role is responsible for delivering business analytics and data modelling solutions and technical dashboard and report development for Management Reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong data analytics and modelling skills and is a problem solver with background in Finance and databases. Exposure to advanced BI/visualization tools, data warehousing concepts, and SAP will be an asset.

Data Analysis and Modelling:

  • Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Strong understanding of dimension and fact modelling
  • Prepare functional design documents
  • QA and validate data to ensure reliability and usability

Dashboard and Report Development:

  • Support dashboard and report developers by delivering data driven designs and insights
  • Assist with front-end dashboard and report development
  • Strong understanding of advanced analytics and data visualization

Project Delivery:

  • Experience in working in Agile environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with product owners, PMO, and other project team members
  • Assist project team with functional and technical knowledge
  • Work within tight deadlines
  • Develop close working relationships with various internal departments and groups for collaboration on joint projects
External Posting Qualifications
  • 3 – 5 years of data analytics and modelling in a finance or support related role
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a professional certification in Finance & Accounting and/or Computer Science; Master degree preferred
  • Data modelling tools: SAP PowerDesigner, IBM InfoSphere, Erwin, MS Visio, etc.
  • Databases: SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, SAP HANA, etc.
  • Reporting and Analytics tools: Tableau, Cognos, Alteryx, PowerBI, etc.
  • Data Warehousing implementation experience an asset
  • Ability to write SQL/T-SQL, MDX, Python, and R
  • SAP S4/HANA or SAP ECC data structure experience an asset
  • Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, including ability to write in a well-organized, cohesive, and concise manner
  • Report development and support for internal and external customers; including executives Analytical minded skillset
  • Positive Impact – Performs in a manner that makes a strong positive impression on others e.g. high energy level, a problem solving approach, and the ability to act with a sense of urgency when the situation demands
  • French, Spanish, English language skills would be an asset (verbal and written)
