What will your typical day look like?

 

In this role, you will manage strategic operations projects, focusing on bringing cohesion, high quality service delivery, and productivity goals to the Tax & Legal practice. You will establish key performance indicators (“KPIs”) and service level agreements (“SLAs”), as appropriate for each projects, and will provide operational direction, ensuring successful implementation and service delivery standards. As an Operations Manager, you will work closely with the leadership team and will provide regular, clear communication on achievement of financial and other targets, service delivery outcomes, risks and issues. The Operations Manager will also be required to manage and oversee a team of culturally diverse experienced professionals.

About the team

 

The Operations Manager will be part of a team responsible for executing a portfolio of strategic projects in the areas of People, Operations, and Growth in the Tax & Legal space. Our projects represent opportunities for the firm to optimize processes, troubleshoot problems, or launch initiatives designed to reduce operational costs, and advance growth. The role is accountable to the Office of the Tax Chief Operating Officer (“COO”).

You are someone who is:

 

  • Able to analyze complex ambiguous problems, interpret operational needs, and develop and execute integrated, tactical solutions in collaboration with the relevant business functions
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy, strong firm and engagement economics understanding and ability to translate commercial viability into day-to-day operations
  • Able to develop trusted advisor relationships across a diverse network and uses a flexible influencing style to gain buy-in and drive impact
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Project Management Certification (an asset)
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree or Diploma
