What will your typical day look like?

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing to lead marketing programs within our brand and positioning team to elevate our firm in the marketplace. This position develops and executes the national strategic marketing plans for Deloitte’s influencer program and issues-based go-to-market programs. These programs will help set the firm apart in the minds of our clients, our people, and our community (alumni, policymakers, directors, etc.). Working closely with executive leadership, our research centre; as well as lines of business, the Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring the execution of the firm’s go-to-market strategy within this portfolio across Canada.

 

You will be a trusted marketing advisor to Deloitte executives and leaders, overseeing a full complement of marketing initiatives to drive growth and enhance market positioning, which will include:

  • Creating marketing plans that align to brand and positioning plans and priorities. As program lead, ensure alignment of local go-to-market priorities across Canadian regions with national strategy and priorities
  • Guiding the development and activation of thought leadership and content campaigns to advance brand and positioning in the Canadian market
  • Designing, planning and executing priority campaigns, utilizing an integrated approach through Deloitte’s internal marketing agency that support lead generation and build eminence
  • Surfacing, designing and executing events geared toward building awareness of Deloitte thought leadership with clients, media and policy makers to support relationship-building and revenue growth
  • Collaborating/Coordinating with appropriate resources within the Canadian firm and globally, including subject matter specialists, service area leaders, client service professionals, account developers, marketing and communications professionals and various shared services to execute and/or leverage integrated marketing programs
  • Providing innovative approaches, delivering best practices, and differentiating from market competition
  • Developing and maintaining overall marketing budget and utilizing sound marketing methods to ensure programs are implemented cost-effectively (ROI development, tracking and reporting including lead generation)
  • Leading and managing marketing resources, including dedicated campaign managers, to establish priorities and providing coaching, performance management and day-to-day management of activities

 

About the team

This role reports to the Director of Brand and Positioning and will recommend campaign strategies for elevating Deloitte’s presence and strengthening the firm’s brand. Additionally, the Senior Manager will work closely with the local marketing representatives across Canada to ensure plans are aligned and executed with a view to achieving the firm’s overall business growth objectives.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
  • Minimum 8 years of related marketing / management experience leading teams with direct reports in a matrix environment
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or Business
  • Experience in strategic marketing and thought leadership/content strategy programming
  • Proven ability to leverage data and analytics to inform strategy
  • Budget planning and management experience
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to work and manage external suppliers is key; Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, with ability to develop contacts
  • Strong negotiation skills, leadership and coaching skills
  • Self-starter, independent and proactive
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (French would be an asset)
  • A commitment to flexible work hours and some travel
