We are growing our elite cyber resilience team who helps clients detect unknown incidents, harnesses the dark web, hunt cyber adversaries, and recover from some of the industry’s largest and most high-profile data breaches. 

 

Role Description

We are looking for a talented Incident Response leader to work out of our Toronto office. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cyber incident response and investigation engagements across leading Canadian organizations, and will work with firm members in order to manage client’s incidents lifecycle in order to detect, contain, eradicate, notify and recover from cyber incidents.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead cyber response engagements that help clients precisely scope, contain and recover from cyber incidents.
  • Oversee advanced computer and network forensic investigations involving data breaches, malware, computer intrusions and denial of service attacks.
  • Supervise the development and testing of cyber response plans and improve the ability of clients to detect, respond and recover from an incident.
  • Ensure progress is made to identify or discount the occurrence of instances of unauthorized access, backdoors and Indicators of Compromise (IoC) across clients’ networks, systems and applications.
  • Promote the forensic preservation and analysis data from diverse data sources, including cloud, laptop/desktop computers, servers, networks, databases and mobile devices.
  • Generate and coordinate containment efforts based on available information and established processes.
  • Effectively communicate investigation updates, results and expert opinions with technical and expert audiences.  Excellent written and oral communication is essential.
  • Maintain a strong profile within the cyber response and information security industries.

Required:

  • Passion for cyber response and service excellence that matches our own.
  • Ability to lead, influence and collaborate with remote team members, proven delivery, remediation and incident response experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using commercial/open source tools and methods to perform incident response and forensic investigations.
  • Deep understanding of modern networks, cloud technologies, Operating Systems, security controls and mitigating techniques.
  • Understanding of current security threats, vulnerabilities, exploitation methods, data breaches, security analysis methods and threat modelling.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

 

 

Education and experience:

  • BA/BS in computer science, information security, management information systems or related field or college degree in related field with significant industry experience required.
  • 10 years of experience in Cyber Security in areas such as incident management & response, risk management, forensics, vulnerability management, threat hunting, exploit analysis, and Penetration Testing & red teaming.
  • Industry certifications (GIAC – GREM/GCIH/GCIA/GCFA, CEH, CISSP, EnCE) would be a strong asset.
  • Previous experience in threat research, intelligence, or malware analysis would be an asset.
  • Experience working with network, host, and user activity data in order to identify, manipulate and interpreted behaviors and trends.
