NOS has an immediate opening for a Manager or Assistant Manager level resource. The role will report to the Senior Manager but is expected to deliver projects by working with professionals responsible for driving regulatory communications and responses, as well as supporting other audit quality and risk matters.

Role Description

As an important member of the team you will:

  • Assists in the development and documentation of the annual audit quality plan, including Canada and Chile.
  • Lead the monthly tracking, documenting and reporting of the audit quality plan’s progress and achievements to audit leadership.
  • Lead the quarterly reporting of the audit quality plan to DTTL.
  • Support monthly Canadian Audit Quality Board meetings, prepares of presentation materials and monthly tracking of meeting key outcomes
  • Participates in the execution of various regulatory projects, including responding to the Canadian Public Accountability Board and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board inspection findings.
  • Provide operational support to the NPPD, in various initiatives including risk management and various audit policy related matters.   
  • Support the planning, coordination and development of external publications, including the Firm’s Audit Quality Report and Transparency Report and other quality-related thought leadership pieces.
  • Support engagement teams with responses to the Periodic Comprehensive Reviews of the External Auditors and other quality-related inquiries.
  • Assist with testing the design and operating effectiveness of the Firm’s System of Quality Control.

External Posting Qualifications

  • Must have CPA designation or equivalency.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of relevant or related work experience with majority with publicly listed clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize projects, independently manage different work streams leading to delivery within deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Critical thinker, ability to quickly grasp complex issues and scenarios.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to synthesize information and present it back in an articulated fashion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence, including the ability to work with others.
  • Situational sensitivity and self-awareness.
  • Organized and disciplined approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work well with a team, including an attitude that supports the needs of the team (e.g. ability and willingness to reprioritize to meet the changing needs of the group);as required.
  • Excellent Word and Excel skills.
