Our Database Marketing group, which is part of the Financial Advisory Service, Analytics Data Applications and Modelling group (ADAM) provides marketers with world-class prospect and customer data integration services that dramatically improve their prospecting and / or customer care strategies.
In an entrepreneurial environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for interacting with Clients on a daily basis with regard to program status, progress, and results. The role also requires interacting with Deloitte's Developers and managing the Account Teams, Data Analysts and Quality Teams to ensure that we are providing the best service to our Clients. In addition, this person will identify and capitalize on new information-based marketing and product development opportunities.
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Responsible and accountable for Client satisfaction and retention, and the achievement of their objectives.
• Act as a go-to resolution person and point of escalation for internal Client issues.
• Lead other team members to conceive design and execute innovative approaches to Client service issues.
• Offer new business solutions and insights to existing database programs.
• Build strategic and business development proposals and presentations for Client Senior Management.
• Lead and support new projects from inception to deployment including working with Client sponsors, internal technical teams and project managers.
• Demonstrate the ability to lead, manage and direct systems implementations.
• Lead and liaise with various Deloitte departments to disseminate project specifications.
• Ensure that team milestones are achieved to the correct quality standards and the appropriate sign-off from stakeholders and core team members is achieved.
• Implement and support Client objectives and instructions and work with core team members to set milestones and expectations.
• Support team with investigations, queries and data runs based on existing applications within the Deloitte production environment to meet business requirements.
• Ability to generate results and insights in order to resolve issues or investigate strategic direction for the Client by accessing database systems.
• Support marketing campaigns and work with Client to make recommendations and apply strategies.
• Responsible for managing financial centre for Clients and building financial projections for your book of business.
• Take on additional duties as required.

External Posting Qualifications

 

• Post-secondary education, preferably in business management/marketing.
• Minimum of 10 years business experience within a marketing database or related environment, or any combination of experience and education that would provide the required knowledge and abilities for successful performance.
• Prior experience managing or leading a client facing delivery team with business objectives as well as internal support teams with technical objectives.
• Ability and desire to learn continuously and teach others in a fast paced, changing environment.
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively with teams and managers when creating schedules and setting expectations.
• Demonstrate strength in people management.
• Proven ability to coordinate project goals and teams for large Clients.
• Strong negotiation, analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
• Experience and high comfort level with working directly with data and databases
• Ability to evaluate risk and make best practice decisions for the team and the Client.
• Basic knowledge of SAS or SQL or a marketing campaign execution tool is an asset.
• Hands on experience with analytics, specifically in research or statistics, and ideally in the Big Data context.
• Exceptional verbal and written business communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
