Deloitte’s Cross-border Tax Services team advises companies on a broad range of inbound and outbound tax issues, including structuring initial overseas investments, financing international operations, cross-border transactions, management of the global effective tax rate and business re-structuring.

Transfer pricing is the rules and methods for pricing transactions within and between enterprises under common ownership or control. The rising volume and variety of intercompany transactions and transfer pricing regulations, accompanied by increased enforcement activities worldwide have made transfer pricing a leading risk management issue for global businesses. Deloitte’s globally-managed transfer pricing team helps companies reduce risks by aligning practical transfer pricing solutions with overall global business operations and objectives, assists with strategic documentation to support transfer pricing practices, and resolves disputes efficiently.

To support our rapidly growing Tax practice in Canada, the Deloitte Cross Border Service group is looking to hire a qualified Senior Manager to join our team in Toronto, Ontario.

Specifically as a Senior Manager, Cross Border Services focused transfer pricing services, your duties will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

  • Setting the pace and direction of our team to deliver tailored experiences that align with each client’s unique culture and people;
  • Developing and executing focused strategies to actively deepen existing client relationships;
  • Assisting in shaping and executing strategic market initiatives towards sustainable, profitable growth;
  • Collaborating with Cross Border Advisory and other Deloitte professionals in brining bundled solutions to help clients address key business issues; 
  • Identifying and refining new business opportunities for the firm;
  • Organically growing our business through a relentless focus on client service;
  • Actively mentoring and counseling our people and equipping them with the necessary tools, experience and knowledge to achieve leading and differentiated capabilities;
  • Utilizing sophisticated and innovative transfer pricing and data analytics tools to develop tax efficient business models in compliance with exceptionally dynamic global tax and transfer pricing rules; and
  • Developing and delivering cradle-to-grave transfer pricing solutions including planning, implementation, compliance, controversy and recourse for a broad spectrum of cross-border transactions (e.g., Intangible property, goods, financial transactions, cost-sharing arrangements and services).

External Posting Qualifications

We are seeking the best and the brightest individuals. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following job requirements:

  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree in economics, statistics, math, business, law or finance, or a related field with outstanding academic credentials is required;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Transfer Pricing is required;
  • Minimum 8 years of experience providing professional services in a consulting practice is required;
  • Minimum 6 years of management experience leading and mentoring junior staff is required;
  • Demonstrated commitment to strong client services is required;
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills are required;
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams are required.

 

Salary range of CAD $134,000.00 – CAD $147,000.00 per annum and will be commensurate with experience.

  • 20 days allotted vacation, prorated in the first year of service;
