Reporting to Senior Manager, Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst will support the timely and accurate reporting and analysis of Deloitte Canada’s financials and key performance indicators (KPIs) results to Deloitte Global (DTTL), and be a key contributor to strategic Firm and Finance initiatives with focuses on financial planning and analysis, process improvements and system enhancements. 

Key responsibilities and areas of involvement include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare periodic submissions of financial (P&L and Balance Sheet) and KPIs results to DTTL
  • Prepare quarterly submissions of supplemental financial information and related profitability, liquidity, leverage and other financial condition analysis to Firm and Global executives
  • Collaborate with Finance Planning and Business Support teams to prepare financial plan and forecasts for DTTL
  • Manage reconciliations and adjustments between Canadian and DTTL financials based on differences in financial information definitions, and provide ad hoc financial analysis and business supports to Canadian and DTTL stakeholders
  • Support ad hoc requests on other value-added financial and operational analyses, such as Global benchmarking, pricing and margin, and operational assessments
  • Partner with DTTL, Canada Finance and other teams to streamline processes, reduce errors and increase efficiency through continuous improvements
  • Supports National FP&A group in assessing and addressing the needs of the Finance leaders and internal partners with focuses on FP&A initiatives and related business performance management processes and systems
  • Provide ad-hoc analytic and project supports to broader National FP&A group and other Finance and Business partners as required
External Posting Qualifications
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis
  • Degree in business/commerce, with CPA, CFA, MBA or other relevant professional designation (or in progress)
  • Experience with professional service industry and/or corporate finance environment (an asset)
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and proven ability in working with large volumes of data
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system (preferred)
  • Experience with Analysis for Office or similar BI/Reporting system (an asset)
  • Experience in implementing process improvements and/or support finance system enhancements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong internal customer influence and change management skills
  • Good team player
