What will your typical day look like?


In your role as Senior Creative Design Lead with the NSO, you will be involved in a range of activities that balance the operational needs of the creative team with the innovation needs of our pursuit and account teams. 
Your day-to-day activities will include: 

  • Defining the future of creativity, design thinking and innovation for the NSO, and implementing a plan to achieve those goals that aligns with the firm’s business strategy. 
  • Defining and implementing creative and design best practices, and actively coaching and mentoring practitioners on these best practices.
  • Providing strategic guidance on requests for creative support, and showcasing and advising on creative approaches for high-profile pursuits. 
  • Acting as the main point of contact for prioritizing and assigning creative resources to provide best-fit of skillsets and needs. 
  • Liaising with NSO and firm leadership, as well as other specialized design teams at Deloitte and external vendors. 
  • Identifying hiring needs to support the firm’s business strategy, and leading the hiring and onboarding of new creative team members. 
  • Identifying and providing development opportunities for creative team members to meet the firm’s needs and to support career growth of individuals.
  • Coaching NSO members and providing advice and support to troubleshoot challenges, resolve conflicts, and brainstorm creative approaches to complex projects. 
  • Developing new tools, methods and approaches that can be used by practitioners in their sales pursuits without the benefit of NSO assistance.
  • Proposing new technologies and/or approaches to “show up differently” with clients, focusing on approaches that can be used virtually.

About the team


The NSO is a group of specialized professionals dedicated to driving the firm’s most strategic opportunities and maximizing Deloitte’s return on sales investments. We lead the firm on sales governance, sales support, and sales innovation, and work with public and private sector teams from all the Deloitte businesses across Canada.

You are someone with:

  • A Bachelor of Fine Arts/Bachelor of Design, RGD Certification or applicable work experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in graphic design with a minimum of 5 years of experience in design for sales (proposals, presentations). Please include your portfolio or a link to your portfolio with your application. 
  • Ability to maintain the day-to-day operations of a creative team and total workload management.
  • Ability to work with practitioners from varying backgrounds, communicate to executive leadership, lead teams in strategic discussions, and collaborate with and influence others.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability that allows you to frame challenges in a unique way and collaborate with teams to inspire creative approaches. 
  • Ability to lead by example with regard to teamwork, commitment to quality, health and wellness, and recognizing and respecting differences.
  • Exceptional follow-up skills, with the ability to read a situation and adapt your leadership style to achieve results.
  • Strong organization, time management, communication, and decision-making skills, but above all respected creative skills. 
  • Bilingual (French and English) an asset.
