What will your typical day look like?


As a Senior Consultant in our Data Protection & Privacy practice, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, assisting our clients in designing, implementing and managing business & technology solutions to protect their data assets and reduce the risk of data compromise.

You will advise clients in understanding the future state problems and challenges in cyber security and work collaboratively with them to enhance capabilities, operating as a technical subject matter specialist on emerging trends, approaches and tools in the data protection space.

You will also have unique opportunities to expand your personal brand and professional network, by participating in conferences and several client/industry events.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you


You are someone with:
•    Thorough understanding of data/information management and data governance fundamentals and, importantly, a continuing interest in the evolving fields of privacy, information security and data/information risk
•    Completed post-secondary education, ideally within a relevant field such as Technology / Data Science / Information Management / business or related discipline, or at least 3 years of relevant professional experience
•    At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in implementing data risk solutions
•    Understanding of the entire ecosystem of data risk including an understanding of:
                     o    How data is governed, analyzed and protected 
                     o    Established best practices for data management to drive market innovations
                     o    Supporting a business-enabling, risk aware culture
                     o    Frameworks for risk-based decision-making and data/information management, privacy and security policy
                     o    Proper handling and protection of data assets
                     o    Risks associated with improper access or use of sensitive data
•    Knowledge of current and emerging data protection tools and methodologies (e.g., McAfee DLP, Forcepoint, Microsoft O365 DLP, Varonis, BigID, OneTrust) 
•    Knowledge of current data governance, document/ records management tools such as Collibra, Informatica, OpenText, SharePoint, SAS, etc.
•    Ability to understand issues as it relates to privacy, data management, IT risks, and implications to the business, with the ability to identify weaknesses and recommend solutions
•    Strong communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to clearly present and translate complex technical issues into business terms and conceptualize new approaches/solutions to manage data/information risks
