What will your typical day look like?

The Senior Analyst, Data Governance aligns under Tier 2, Specialized Services. This team provides administrative, transactional and specialized operational support to meet business needs through end-to-end lifecycle consultation with exceptional customer service.


In this role, you will:

  • Establish and maintain data quality management best practices, standards, guidelines and processes and ensure adherence across the organization through regular audits;
  • Develop, maintain and communicate systems security frameworks to ensure the safeguarding of our people data;
  • Provide strong data analysis and solutioning in the data governance domain enabling stakeholders to manage, control and leverage quality information within and across business units and functional domains. This includes maintaining various dashboards, capability metrics and provision of reporting to identify trends, potential issues and support solutioning;
  • Liaise between Talent and other business areas (e.g. IT, Privacy) to ensure that requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined and communicated and new data quality requirements are understood and documented effectively;
  • Work with technology vendors and IT to ensure that the technology environment is optimal, embracing new functionality and capabilities within existing tools, and helping to plan for future enablement.

About the team

People Experience is a tiered, centralized team, providing a scalable platform to respond to changing business needs, and drive continuous improvement across the Culture and People Office function. The team is the face of HR to the business and delivers people inquiry, intake management, program services, and people leader services (aligned to lifecycle stage and Workplace Experience pillars). With a focus on the employee journey, People Experience delivers end-to-end operational experiences through defined processes that are standard for all business segments.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone who has:

  • A relevant Degree such as Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent;
  • 3 – 4 years data management experience, ideally within the Professional Financial Services sector; 
  • Demonstrated expertise with data quality management, governance, business and data requirements analysis, metrics and controls;
  • Experience with data systems/tools and related software for information profiling, quality and metadata management, ideally PeopleSoft and SAP;
  • Knowledge of practices/technology in areas such as data stewardship, business intelligence, data models and Master Data Management;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills which you utilize to quickly problem solve, determine solutions, provide insights into best practices and advise our stakeholders at every level across the firm. This may include the presentation of data quality findings and data management education;
