What will your typical day look like?

The Deloitte Global Cybersecurity function is responsible for the firm’s overall objectives in enhancing data protection, standardizing and securing critical infrastructure and gaining cyber visibility through security operations centres. The Cybersecurity organization delivers a comprehensive set of cybersecurity services to Deloitte member firms through regional delivery hubs and a Global Fusion Centre.  

 

The role focuses on the security assessment of applications primarily from a Static and Dynamic perspective and the curation of vulnerability data, providing SME guidance to drive risk reduction across our operating landscape.  

 

You will be expected to partner with a full-time security tester to shadow operations, conduct security tests, review security test results, and provide subject matter technical expertise on application security risk.

 

Operational

  • Support operational processes, rules of engagements and methodologies to deliver quality code analysis services to Deloitte’s global network
  • Ensure deliverables are of a quality nature and provide practical intelligence to help member firms remediate vulnerabilities identified
  • Execute appllication security testing or support the use of automated and manual tools to support SAST and DAST security reviews
  • Curate application security vulnerability data generated from application testing tools, provide concise and digestible remediation paths for member firms
  • Escalates key risks and issues to senior security testers that need special attention or hold urgency

 

Relationship Management

  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure appropriate customer facing documentation and communications are present to facilitate effective entry points and service offerings are present

You are someone who is:

 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with variety of cultures across the globe and have the patience, understanding, and empathy to work collaboratively and effectively 
  • Application Security testing services experience working with both testing tools and manual exploitation techniques.
  • Capable of thinking creatively and analytically to prioritise tasks effectively 
  • Ability to work under pressure and produce content to tight timelines 
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritising a variety of tasks 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate strategic information security topics, policies and standards as well as risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences  
  • Sound knowledge of web application vulnerabilities and common vulnerability categorizations such as OWASP, CVSS
