Deloitte is looking for a research analyst to join the Future of Canada Centre (FCC) and our Economic Advisory group to develop high impact thought leadership on economic issues.

What will your typical day look like?


As an Economic Research Analyst, you will work closely with the FCC and Deloitte Economic Advisory to help develop and deliver large-scale, cross-sectoral thought leadership for the firm, including research focused on the growth and competitiveness of our nation. This could include: Monitor issues relevant to growth and competitiveness on an ongoing basis, including industry developments both in Canada and globally, assist in conducting quantitative and qualitative research, using a variety of methodologies and data sources, and support the development process of high profile thought leadership pieces and support the day-to-day research activities as part of a research team that includes practitioners from our consulting.

Deloitte Economic Advisory works closely with our industry leaders across Canada and the globe in order to apply economic thinking and commercial acumen to everyday business problems. They dissect complex policy and business challenges to provide insightful analysis and offer pointed recommendations, based on a foundation of economic forecasting.

You are someone with: 

  • A Master’s degree, preferably in economics or another relevant field
  • An exemplary record of academic and extracurricular achievement
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and proven ability to work with large economic datasets
  • Ability to produce insightful graphic presentations and visualizations of economic data
  • Knowledge of econometric and statistical techniques is an asset
  • Proven superior research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including quantitative skills
