You are someone with:

  • Experience working in a manger role for an IT organization and/or consulting & advisory services to IT Organization and between 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Pursing or completed a PM designation and between 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • 3 to 5 years of Experience in SAFe  (Scaled Agile Framework) Implementations as a very strong asset
  • Experience in business analysis and process development as an asset
  • Strong technical skills & experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Expertise in Software Product Management disciplines such building roadmaps, systems operations, and regular maintenance cycle management
  • Ability to translate operational challenges into tactical improvement opportunities and develop requirements from a strategic perspective
  • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills

 

Our Solution Delivery Operations team offers an investigative approach to modernizing IT functions.  We help our IT team enhance quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the Solution Delivery function, process and internal controls.  Are you a leader that is passionate about making a difference?  Take a look at this exciting position.

Duties will include:

  • Assist in the delivery of projects to improve operations in one or more of the following functional areas: SAFe implementation, co-ordination, and education. Software selection and implementation, shared services, and/or IT transformation
  • Review and contribute to the planning and execution of projects, including advisory role, as needed.
  • Participate and/or lead current state findings workshops in order to understand and document key operational processes (i.e. project execution, compliance, resource management, reporting, etc.)
  • Developing individual program budgets
  • Driving initiatives in the operations team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence
  • Lead process improvement teams and own the delivery of the solution spanning one or multiple teams
  • Execute the delivery plan and be primary point of escalation for team impediments.
  • Develop materials for, and participate in the delivery of, presentations to Senior leadership and firm personnel
  • Assist with creation of proposals and other department development activities
  • Opportunities may arise to serve clients and / or support local office teams around the country
  • Contribute to IT eminence initiatives, including development of new service offerings and branding campaigns within the department

What will your typical day look like?

You will be responsible for organizing activities and overseeing a variety of department initiatives, from resource management, delivery and policy oversight. Job duties may include reviewing budgetary information, coordinating educational assignments for staff, interpreting financial data, and performing cost-benefit analysis on internal programs.

About the team

The Solution Delivery Operations practice focuses on the betterment and sustainment of Software Development and Service Delivery to our internal Service Lines who serve Deloitte clients, we are an integral part of Deloitte Canada’s Information Technology team.  We adhere to both regulatory and management standards, including ISO and SOC2, by applying quality controls and operational expertise to the software delivery function.
