LOCATION: This role supports a global initiative, which can be performed virtually.  Preferred locations include Canada, US and UK.



What will your typical day look like?


The primary responsibility of this role is to 1) support the management of business risks for Global Consulting QRM, 2) advise our Consulting QRM network and pursuit and project teams on our highest risk, most complex opportunities and engagements, and our most strategic clients, 3) advise on risk management for new offerings, ecosystems, alliances, and assets, 4) participate in the development of the quality and risk management program as our business continues to grow and change.


  • Ideal candidates must have extensive experience in identifying and mitigating risk and structuring deals, resolving disputes, managing the negotiation and administration of large professional services contracts. Ideal candidates will also have experience with complex technology implementations and service contracts along with diverse industry experience.
  • Guidance and support to senior business leaders within the firm
  • Responsible for advising Global, Regional and Member Firm QRM and practice leadership on potential quality and risk management issues
  • Provides guidance and leading practices on risk mitigation strategies, deal structuring, contract formation and contract management
  • Serves as Global Consulting liaison with Independence, Legal, and other risk functions
  • Risk Consultation (Opportunities and Engagements)
  • Work closely with the Global QRM Portfolio Manager to identify and provide risk management support to priority opportunities and engagements at the global, regional or local levels
  • Works with Global/Regional/Member Firm QRM and leadership to provide risk consultation and guidance on offerings, ecosystems, alliances, and assets
  • Works with Member Firm QRM to facilitate the engagement review process for higher risk engagements and participates in pricing consultations
  • Consults with Member Firm QRM and pursuit partners on Requests For Proposals, Teaming Agreements, and Non-Disclosures Agreements
  • Conducts Risk Consultation and Deal Review Board processes for selected higher risk engagements prior to proposal submission
  • Helps interpret contract requirements and obligations and provides guidance to Member firm QRM engagement teams
  • Assist and provide guidance with dispute resolution
  • Provide guidance on risks associated with in-flight engagements
  • Contracting
  • Advises Member Firm QRM and practice leadership on negotiation of professional services contracts with a primary focus on reducing and mitigating delivery and contractual risks associated with the services being provided
  • Professional services contracts include Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Engagement Letters, Professional Services Agreements, Subcontractor Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and other similar or related agreements
  • Helps interpret requirements of the contract
  • Provides guidance to Member Firm QRM on monitoring of compliance with professional standards and contractual obligations
  • Analyzes and assess potential impacts associated with contract delivery risks
  • Assists Member Firm QRM and practice leadership in client negotiations with clients to resolve contractual issues
  • Provides guidance to reduce project risks, adjust contract requirements to accommodate changing project circumstances, and manage stakeholder expectations to contractual obligations and agreed upon performance standards

You are someone with:

  • BBA/BA/BS in related field
  • Minimum 10 years of direct contract negotiation and management experience
  • Masters Degree is desirable
