What will your typical day look like?

This role will be accountable to manage and oversee various hospitality oriented occupant services, staffing and governance, working alongside other Business Operations Managers. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and coordination of our internal One-Stop-Shop called D.411 from a governance, work order ticket and management perspective, working in tandem with Technology Services.
  • Management of Switchboard services, as well as the governance around usage of our Unified Messaging Auto-Attendant program
  • Management of various aspects of the Toronto new-hires arrival support program
  • Aesthetics governance and approval (décor, signage allowance, etc.), working with our Facilities Manager and Podium Experience Team
  • Liaising with Health & Safety and business continuity and emergency services to ensure the building meets health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with all local municipal by-laws and provincial and federal legislation
  • Responsible for various aspects of our Occupational Safety program (eg. H&S, JHSC, Ergonomics, etc.)
  • Responsible for various aspects of our Environmental Life Safety program (eg. AED, Workplace Accidents, Near Miss & Incident Reporting processes, etc.)
About the team

As part of the Business Operations team, this role will report directly to the Business Operations Senior Manager.  In this role, you will be accountable for the day to day management and operations of various aspects of one of our newest and cutting edge facilities within the Toronto downtown core and satellite facilities in Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Yonge & Eglinton

We are an exciting and dynamic team of administrative and operational professionals. Our Business Operations Team demonstrates a standard of excellence through process improvement and leveraging technologies to achieve overall organizational goals.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You are someone with:

  • 5-7 years Facility Management or Property Management experience – with 3 years at a supervisory or self-managed level
  • Minimum of 4 years in a management or supervisory role with a university degree in Business Management or other related operations disciplines
  • Formal Facilities Management / Project Management certification/experience or working towards it to show commitment to this career
  • Familiarity of Occupational Safety legislation, JHSC, Ergonomics, environment life safety (AED, workplace accidents, Near Miss & Incident Reporting processes)
  • Must have strong leadership skills and experience
