What will your typical day look like?

A Customer Strategy Manager at Deloitte is expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including:

  • Engagement management: Scope and plan engagements; manage engagement economics and risks; manage engagement teams; develop deliverable structure and content; ensure exceptional outcomes are achieved
  • Stakeholder management: Establish and sustain long-term relationships with top decision makers and key clients
  • Practice development and eminence: Create practical solutions and methodologies; develop “thoughtware” and “point of view” documents; support industry and eminence events sponsored by the firm
  • Develop core offering expertise: Leverage expertise in customer strategy, digital experiences and innovative products offerings to support sales pursuits and marketplace eminence
  • Sales and business development: Participate in business development activities; manage pursuit teams; support proposal development
  • Talent development: Develop high performing people and teams by coaching junior practitioners; provide input into project staffing; support recruiting activities

About the team

Deloitte’s Customer Strategy & Applied Design (CS&AD) team is composed of designers, researchers, and strategists. Together we imagine new futures for our clients using a collection of methods from human-centered design, conceptual design, strategic foresight, as well as customer and innovation strategy. We work across industries to imagine, deliver, and run winning customer experiences, from digital strategy to omnichannel experiences through to loyalty.

You're passionate about understanding what makes people tick and seasoned at designing qualitative and quantitative research and deriving business-changing insights from it. You demonstrate expertise in applying strategic methodologies, omni-channel, and digital acumen to client business challenges. You thrive in a dynamic environment and working with cross-functional teams.

What skills do you possess?

  • Insightful thinker, confident with concepts, analysis, and frameworks
  • Ability to plan, structure, and prepare client ready-work
  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to articulate complex ideas to all levels of an organization, and effectively lead and manage all key stakeholders
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous and changing requirements
  • Proactive, and action-oriented
  • Collaborative


  • 4+ years of team lead or management experience in a similar role in consulting or industry
  • Relevant experience in loyalty, omni-channel, eCommerce, digital
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams 
  • Strong, relevant experience working in any of the following industries:
    • Financial services
    • Healthcare and pharmaceuticals 
    • Energy, resources, and industrials
    • Technology, media, and telecommunications
    • Transportation, airlines and aerospace
    • Consumer
