What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Learning Specialist, you will perform the following activities:

  • Learning Mailbox - Respond to queries from regional learning coordinators and practice offices in a timely manner and re-route non-routine queries to responsible managers. Send updates and instructions to regional learning coordinators as required.
  • Curriculum – Maintain the master curriculum document, including making changes/additions as instructed during the year, inserting SABA codes for each course, and ensuring the most current version is loaded in Technical Library.
  • Learning Completion Monitoring – Maintain learning completion monitoring workbooks and SharePoint site, ensuring data within is complete and accurate.
  • Project Plan – Work with manager to maintain a current project, including status and timing of each course to be developed, translated or bundled
  • Translation: Manage the translation process for all National Office materials – this includes:
    • Monitoring and submitting all translation requests into the Translation System – FLOW
    • Logging and tracking all submissions into the appropriate tracking workbooks
    • Manage and maintain the updates for the Estimate Trackers for all groups
    • Attend bi-weekly meetings with translation team to discuss status of existing projects and upcoming project
  • Archiving Materials - Maintain archives of all learning materials by course in the structure existing on the network drive, ensuring all materials archived are final versions and named in accordance to group standards.
  • Seminar Bundling - Work with learning development team to bundle learning units appropriately, including ensuring all related materials are loaded on the website.
  • Learning Coordinator Instruction Maintenance:
    • Upload data and materials onto the learning website
    • Update the document library and update and test links
  • E-learning – Test new e-learning to ensure links are functioning, control versions and all changes.
  • Invoicing – Manage and code all National Audit Translation invoices and Learning supplier invoices:
  • Analyze the reports provided by Billing to ensure accuracy with the invoice provided
    • Code all invoices appropriately and update within the Invoice Control Listing
    • Submit all invoices

About the team

The Senior Learning Specialist reports to Senior Manager, National A&A Learning and is responsible for full administration of Deloitte Audit technical, industry, professional, and/or leadership learning programs across the country. The Learning Specialist will collaborate with other team members to ensure learning initiatives are delivered effectively and meet expectations.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone who has:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Senior Administrative or Learning role
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to adapt seamlessly to rapidly changing circumstances, processes and the use of software and other tools
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks based on relative importance and urgency
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven editing and proof-reading skills
  • Proactive, independent and outgoing
  • Ability to adapt to new circumstances and utilize new tools seamlessly
  • Bilingualism (English and French) would be an asset
  • Experience with:
    • Drafting communications
    • Coordinating and monitoring project execution
    • Preparing budgets/cost estimates and budget-to-actual comparisons
    • Intranet content management and SharePoint team sites specifically is an asset
    • Analyzing and providing results for large amounts of data
