What will your typical day look like?


The Knowledge Manager (KM) will serve as the knowledge management owner to Global Analytics & Cognitive and US Deloitte Analytics teams understanding their area priorities and coordinating knowledge activities to foster a more robust global knowledge exchange.  The KM will also coordinate closely with the broader CoRe Knowledge Services teams, both collaborating and aligning to Global CoRe KS’s strategy, priorities and approaches.             

Practice Area Enablement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Leaders and other key stakeholders
  • Proactively engage with leadership to identify knowledge opportunities and priorities
  • Develop knowledge plans that articulate KS support of the strategic priorities of the practice
  • In support of identified priorities, drive the collection of strategic content, expertise, and thought leadership for publication within the global knowledge platforms
  • Curate assets, working with subject matter specialists to nominate the “best from the rest”
  • Create and contribute to collections of internal content to support strategic priorities (e.g., for Hot Topics)
  • Create and maintain global knowledge sites for a practice area, as warranted
  • Report to leadership on usage of and contribution to the knowledge system; as well as other metrics associated with global MF measures
  • Consistently engage leaders on value delivered through knowledge efforts
  • Establish and build relationship with Consulting MF KM network to partner on the execution of Offering Portfolio/Offering knowledge priorities to support global and local needs

Intellectual Property Management

  • Maintain “healthy knowledge space” by regularly reviewing age, diversity and usage of existing content and executing action plans to improve user experience (e.g., archiving, targeting content to fill gaps)
  • Provide knowledge transfer sessions on initiatives / priorities to educate global business support (i.e., KX Help)
  • Lead the harvesting of strategic priority content and assets from local systems (e.g., shared drives, team sites, local document management systems) and migrate to global knowledge systems

Expertise & Network Connectivity

  • Ensure member firm specialists are identified within global knowledge tools, such as through badging in DPN and inclusion within curated knowledge collections
  • Foster and encourage participation of specialists in networks and community forums (e.g., Yammer groups) that drive the exchange of tacit knowledge across member firm and global networks

Knowledge Platform Optimization

  • Provide guidance to practitioners based upon in-depth expertise of global knowledge platforms/tools capabilities and functionality
  • Work with MF KMs to embed linkages to global systems within member firm systems and intranets. e.g., DPN links are prominent in intranet pages
  • Identify appropriate local promoted results and maintain local Answer Card information to improve the overall search experience

Adoption Measurement & Improvement

  • Capture knowledge success stories and testimonials to be featured in local and global communications
  • Lead systematic analysis of member firm practitioner adoption, usage and contribution levels and determine appropriate action to increase participation
  • Compile and deliver reporting in line with member firm and global leadership strategy and goals

You are someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; relevant fields of study may include Business, Management, Information Systems, Library Sciences, Journalism and/or Communications. 
  • Candidate must a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Experience in aligned business area a plus and experience in a global professional services organization preferred.
  • Experience with electronic knowledge, repository management, intranets/portals, collaborative and social media tools; SharePoint experience a plus 
  • Experienced, independent thinker with proven project management experience; ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and stakeholders and deliver results
  • Highly responsive with demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional relationship building/relationship management skills to establish rapport, build trust and confidence, and manage customer expectations
  • Collaborative, team player
  • High comfort level working, managing resources, and collaborating in a virtual, global environment
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to change; experience managing change, acting as a change agent to influence others
