Deloitte's team of financial crime professionals help clients react quickly and confidently in a crisis, investigation, or dispute. Deloitte forensic specialists use their global network, deep industry experience, and advanced analytical technology to understand and resolve issues. They deliver the proactive advice clients need to reduce the risk of future problems. They advise clients and their counsel by identifying, investigating and resolving financial irregularities and other behaviour resulting in financial, reputational and/or regulatory risk. The Forensic team also works with clients and their counsel to address complex and unexpected business disputes, class actions and associated litigation as well as computer forensic and e-discovery matters.


More specifically, Deloitte's team of Forensic professionals identify and investigate a wide range of financial crime including allegations of fraud, theft, money laundering, bribery and corruption, other financial irregularities and regulatory issues impacting clients in Canada and worldwide across all industries

They apply a variety of quantitative and qualitative techniques to analyze and mitigate alleged incidents of misconduct, identify the participants, secure evidence, locate/recover misappropriated assets and bring about a timely resolution to financial litigation. 


As a Manager you will:


  • Supervise and work collaboratively with a diverse team of talented forensic accountants specialized in investigations, specialists in anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing, advisors, intelligence analysts, computer forensic and e-discovery specialists
  • Apply a structured project management approach that fully satisfies clients and delivers project profitability
  • Prioritize objectives and contribute to project planning and status reporting
  • Analyze financial data, review accounting and email records
  • Identify issues and recommend solutions to project teams
  • Liaise and cultivate client relationships
  • Further develop your expertise as a financial crime investigator and team leader as well as your reputation as a business advisor
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the practice
  • Help develop and deliver training programs



External Posting Qualifications


  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic credentials
  • Professional designation (e.g. CPA, IFA, DIFA, CFF, CAMS, CFE designations strongly preferred)
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience in financial crime related matters
  • Extensive experience in consulting or providing external advisory services
  • Deep commitment to professionalism and client service excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams and under pressure
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
  • Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities
  • Experienced with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing client expectations and team leadership
  • Proficiency in French language or another second language is considered an asset
  • Candidates must hold or be eligible for a secret security clearance with the Government of Canada
  • Canadian travel required, along with occasional international travel. Candidates must be able to enter the USA to work on client assignments.
