Deloitte Digital is looking for an accomplished Sr. Experience Designer with a focus on UI, who can create engagement and emotion through beautiful, human-centred designs.

What will your typical day look like?

As a Sr Experience Designer, you’ll be immersed in current design trends and production workflows and create the visual language that make big ideas real. You’ll work closely with clients and colleagues to deliver a high level of craft that fulfills both user needs and brand imperatives. On larger projects you’ll manage and mentor junior designers in supporting the project vision. You’ll also help build a design culture of research, design, education and mentorship. Plus, with regular team socials and learning opportunities, you’ll have fun!
As part of a network of Experience Design creatives across Canada you’ll report to the Creative Director and business lead in our Toronto office.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

Your Skillset

  • 3-5 years’ professional experience as a digital designer with a UI and/or visual design focus
  • An excellent online portfolio showcasing strong conceptual and executional skills, ideally with examples of innovative and/or future-focused thinking
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to lead your audience through the goals and outcomes of your projects
  • A deep understanding of the end-to-end iterative digital design process, including how to set up files to be responsive, create and use design systems, and integrate brand standards
  • An understanding of, and experience with, agile/hybrid agile work processes
  • Knowledge of established human-centered design practices and techniques, including inclusive design and the knowledge of accessibility standards like AODA and WCAG
  • Proficiency in Figma, and able to build and work with Design Systems and Atomic design. Experience with Adobe CC, Sketch and InVision a strong asset
  • A basic understanding of the fundamentals of front-end and technical development to help communicate with technical teams.
  • For Ottawa: Be eligible for or possess Enhanced Reliability security clearance with Government of Canada
  • French language skills (written and/or spoken) an asset
