What will your typical day look like?

 

Every day is different at Deloitte, but you can anticipate that the below will play a role in your day-to-day

  • Independently manage mid-scale in-person, virtual, and hybrid conferences/meetings/special events for across Canada
  • Liaise directly with partners and key stakeholders on all event aspects
  • Co-ordinate all logistical aspects of events such as:
    • Venue and vendor sourcing and contracting
    • Technology selection and support for virtual events
    • Cost projection and budget analysis
    • Project plan and workback schedules
    • Online registration/event management
    • Hotel rooming lists
    • Meeting room set-ups
    • IT and audiovisual requirements
    • Catering arrangements/menu selection
    • On-site registration and staffing
    • Group travel arrangements
    • Collaborate with internal clients and share industry best practices
  • Provide event and operations support for Toronto Conference Centre
  • Ownership of process improvement projects
  • Additional duties as required

About the team

 

The team is comprised of coordinators, specialists and managers who help to connect the brand with our clients through thoughtful and engaging events both in person, and virtually.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

You are someone who is/has:

  • Minimum of 4-7 years experience in event planning, with experience in virtual events an asset
  • Bilingual candidate required (French & English)
  • Advanced computer skills including web-based event management and registration tools
  • Ability to efficiently work on numerous projects at once
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard office hours and travel to attend meetings when required
