About the team

The Digital Consumer national practice is seeking a new leader based in Toronto, who will work within the larger Consulting service line. Digital Consumer is a dynamic practice serving the needs of private enteprises as well as the public sector in the space of business and technology solutions for CRM, Marketing, Digital, Customer Experience Design, and Contact Center and Case Management. As a Senior Manager and a leader in the practice, you will be principally responsible for business development, market focused activities, and overseeing project delivery for our Managed Services (AMS) division. Senior Managers are also expected to possess deep industry knowledge and skill expertise such that they are viewed both internally and externally as “subject matter experts.” Additionally, Senior Managers also play an internal role in firm management, supporting practice-building initiatives and actively contributing to the practice’s distinct culture as organizational role models.


Specifically, our Senior Managers:

  • Cultivate and build long term relationships with senior executive clients
  • Identify, lead, and close business development opportunities with a focus on the Toronto market
  • Set the intellectual agenda for all client engagements for which they are responsible
  • Contribute to the growth and development of their practice
  • Actively participates in professional association, industry, firm and community events
  • Create a learning environment through leadership, participating in the development and delivery of industry training programs
  • Assume internal leadership roles focused on practice development (e.g., campus recruiting, thought leadership/IP development)
  • Collaborate with leaders from other Consulting and non-consulting service areas to offer the breadth and depth of Deloitte to clients as needed
  • Actively mentor and coach team members and other junior resources across the practice
  • Oversee application requirements/specifications, technical specification, development, unit testing, test support, deployment and providing production support
  • Architect  innovative solutions for our clients by assembling best of breed technologies to achieve business outcomes
  • Build business cases to help our clients understand the benefits of outsourcing or transition new solutions into support

We are looking for high-performing and dynamic candidates who possess a successful track record as well as the following requirements:

  • At least 10 years’ professional experience
  • An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar domain
  • Strong understanding of Managed Services/AMS service management processes and framework based on best standards / practices or from experience gained from working within a formal service management framework.
  • Strong understanding of outsourcing operations or arrangements and the process for the delivery of a full Managed/AMS service, including the offshore model
  • Experience in a top tier consulting firm
  • Experience in business development with demonstrated sales in consulting services
  • Experience advising clients operating in multiple industries
  • Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams through complex engagements
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle management
  • Experience with full lifecycle outsourcing deals for large enterprises of CRM and Marketing packaged solutions such as Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget), Oracle CX, Oracle Marketing Cloud (Eloqua), Microsoft Dynamics, Marketo, etc.
  • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Ability to anticipate the long term impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving
  • Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
  • Proven ability to mentor and coach junior team members and lead teams collaboratively
  • An entrepreneurial spirit
  • A sense of altruism
  • Up to 75% travel


Desirable qualities:


The following would be assets in the role but are not required:

  • Post graduate degree and/or professional designation
  • Experience with advising clients in the following areas
    • Business, Outsurcing, Customer and Marketing Strategy, Business Case, Vendor/Package Selection, Roadmap Development
    • Effective capacity planning skills, including management f offshore delivery centres
    • Ability to recruit effectively
