During your internship with the Financial Engineering & Modeling team, you will:

  • Conduct financial analyses related to market finance, mainly valuations of derivatives and structured products.
  • Develop pricing models and tools based on best market practices.
  • Validate various financial and risk models.
  • Participate in risk management and risk assessment engagement.
  • Employ a structured project management approach that ensures client satisfaction and project profitability.
  • Help grow and further develop the practice.



Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • Strong academic background and currently completing a doctorate or master’s degree in finance, mathematical finance, financial engineering or another relevant postgraduate degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management models and valuation techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial products and derivatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of quantitative modeling techniques.
  • Potential for diagnosing project-related problems, developing solutions, communicating those solutions to clients, facilitating decision-making, preparing documents, managing client expectations and leading teams.
  • Ability to program using Excel, Matlab, C++ and VBA languages.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of FINCAD and Bloomberg are an asset.
  • FRM, PRM and CFA designations are an asset but not required.
  • Strong team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure
