Deloitte currently has a multi-year engagement contract to support the operation of the modernized platform along with design, build and delivery of functional enhancements for two of their lines of businesses.  On both operational and enhancement activities, the teams actively engage with the business leadership looking through issues, resolutions and opportunities for delivery and quality improvements.This P&C Insurance client is continuing their transformation journey which includes modernization into an agile organization within its industry.  As part of this modernization, this client has already invested quite heavily into modernizing their business platforms and continue to extend on their modernization of their operations to agile.

 

 

Lead and manage a globally distributed Deloitte team to drive the operations while closely collaborating with Deloitte’s functional enhancement delivery scrum masters to help the client continue their agile organizational transformation.  In addition to the experience of helping this client transform, there will also be opportunities to identify additional services that can be provided to this client and continue to expand the Deloitte services footprint.

What will your typical day look like?

 

Understand what are the kinds of issues being reported by the business to your support team, and make sure people are looking into them and follow up with support team on progress while managing any staffing issues.  Be the first point of escalation for the key client stakeholders and provide guidance to the support team as necessary.  On a regular basis drive grooming and plan the defects based on the available capacity of the team for upcoming sprints.  Own and manage the weekly and monthly service governance reports and review both internally and with client.

 

About the team

 

The team is composed of a highly collaborative team with team members across Toronto, India, Portugal and Chile, who can investigate and resolve issues, design and develop solutions for defects, and execute the necessary testing.  The team is focused on Level 3 support and works very collaboratively with our client’s teams.  One key observation about the team is that even during high stress times, they are a joyous team to work with, where everyone within the team are willing to help each other and care for each other.

You are someone who:

  • Has a strong IT Service Management background and has done production support for at least 3 to 5 years
  • Has managed high performing teams and considers yourself as a leader who is focused on driving results and doing what is necessary
  • Able to build and manage a strong relationship with business & IT stakeholders.
  • Has application development background and has is very comfortable in agile environments
  • Understands how applications and infrastructure behave, and can comfortably interact with Infrastructure, DevOps and other application teams
  • Communicates well, and can build governance reports and drive regular governance meetings with the client stakeholders and internal leadership
