What will your typical day look like?

 

 

As an Analyst in Actuarial, & Insurance Solutions (AIS), you will be a part of a team of like-minded individuals where you will contribute to market and client initiatives. You will support practice leaders by delivering work on a wide range of advisory projects within actuarial and advanced analytics domains. You will mainly be involved in developing assets, using R and various automation and AI techniques, that assist actuaries in modernization their day-to-day work.

Our Canadian AIS team is 70 strong and growing as we continue to build our reputation as leaders in transformation, analytics, automation, and AI. Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

 

You are someone with:


•    A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a leading University in a quantitative field (e.g. actuarial science, data science, computer science, etc.)
•    At least 3 years of hands-on work experience in the R programming language and proficiency/mastery with various R packages. Strong preference for experience developing in shiny.
•    Experience in other software development best practices (e.g. using Git version control, code review cycles, etc.)
•    Experience with other relevant programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, SAS, etc.) is an asset
•    Experience in the insurance sector or with traditional actuarial concepts (e.g. pricing, reserving, etc.) is an asset
•    Fluency in French is an asset
•    Feel free to provide in your resume any public links to original code repositories where you are a contributor
