What will your typical day look like? 

As a Practitioner in Digital Trust & Privacy, you will work with teammates and clients to help organizations transform how they manage cyber and technology risk in a practical, business-focused way.  

You will have the opportunity to:  

  • Shape cyber strategy and transformation roadmaps – Help clients define their cyber vision, target operating model, and multi-year transformation roadmap that align cyber to business priorities and enable secure digital transformation.  

  • Build the case for change – Analyze client challenges, quantify costs and benefits, and develop business cases, investment options, and executive-ready recommendations for new cyber and technology initiatives.  

  • Design cyber governance and risk management processes – Advise on the design and uplift of cyber governance, policies, risk taxonomies, risk appetite, three lines of defense, and cyber and technology risk management process (e.g., risk assessments, controls testing and monitoring, regulatory management, reporting). 

  • Bring insight to executive and boards – Develop cyber metrics, dashboards, and board-level reporting that translate technical cyber risk into clear, outcome-driven insights to support leadership decision-making. 

  • Bridge business and technology – Break down complex technical concepts and explain them in a simple, business-focused way for non-technical stakeholders, including executives and board members.  

  • Co-create with clients – Facilitate and lead workshops, interviews, and working session with clients and Deloitte teams to understand problem statements and co-create practical, business-aligned solutions. 

  • Stay on top of what’s trending – Research industry trends, threats, evolving regulations (e.g., OSFI, NIST, ISO), and leading practices, using access to the Deloitte global network to bring “what good looks like” to our clients. 

  • Improve how we work at Deloitte – Contribute ideas to enhance Deloitte methodologies, tools, and accelerators, including how we can use emerging technologies like AI and automation. 

  • Learn a lot, fast – Grow your skills through client work, coaching, networking, and training.

Deloitte’s Digital Trust and Privacy practice, with 100+ professionals across Canada, provides consumer confidence and data integrity while safeguarding users and consumers from harm. This includes effective customer and enterprise identity management, governance, regulatory compliance, digital ethics, and advisory support for current and future regulations. 

 

Our services include: 

  • Customer Identity: The practice helps organizations create secure, seamless, and trusted digital experiences for customers. We work with leading organizations across sectors to design and implement customer identity and access management (CIAM) programs that enable secure registration, authentication, authorization, and customer data management. From modernizing login experiences and strengthening identity security to supporting digital channels and customer growth, we help clients balance security, privacy, and user experience while building trust with their customers. 

  • Enterprise Identity: The practice helps organizations ensure the right people have the right access to the right resources at the right time. We work with leading organizations across sectors to design and implement identity and access management (IAM), identity governance (IGA), and privileged access management (PAM) programs that strengthen security, support compliance, and improve workforce productivity. From designing governance frameworks and access processes to implementing identity technologies and modern authentication capabilities, we help clients reduce risk, enable secure digital transformation, and build a strong identity foundation for the enterprise. 

  • Privacy & Data Protection: The practice helps organizations build trust in how they collect, manage, protect, and use data in an increasingly data- and AI-driven world. We work with leading organizations across sectors to design and implement privacy, data governance, AI risk governance, and data protection programs that enable regulatory compliance, responsible digital and AI innovation, and secure business growth. From designing privacy and AI governance programs to implementing data protection technologies, governance frameworks, privacy tech and information management capabilities, we help clients turn trust into a business advantage while protecting what matters most.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you 

We are seeking candidates who: 

  • Have completed or are currently working towards completing a post-secondary degree or diploma program (e.g., Business, Commerce, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Privacy Law , AI or a related field)

  • Are graduating within one year of your start date

    • Winter 2027: You must be graduating between January 2026-December 2026

    • Spring/Summer 2027: You must be graduating between May 2026-April 2027

    • Fall 2027: You must be graduating between September 2026-August 2027 

  • Have a strong interest in identity and access management, privacy, data governance, AI governance, regulatory compliance, and digital trust.  

  • Stay current on emerging trends in AI, privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory change.  

  • Enjoy solving complex business challenges and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. 

  • Enjoy working in teams, facilitating workshops and discussions, and co-creating practical solutions with others 

  • Display initiative, creativity, enjoy problem solving and are looking to make an impact 

  • Can demonstrate strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project) and interested in using dashboards (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and tools to turn cyber and risk data into clear and executive-ready insights 

  • Are eager to learn on the job and are interested in pursuing relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP, CPA, CIPP, CIPM, AI governance or responsible AI certifications) 

  • Are legally eligible to work in Canada and able to enter the USA to work on client assignments

Quebec Location: We require basic English language skills to meet the needs of our clients. In the context of mandates, you could work for clients with activities outside of Quebec and where the first language is English. 

  

Ottawa Location: Employees in the Ottawa practice will be required to obtain “reliability” and/or “Secret” level federal security clearances as a condition of their employment. To be eligible for a "Reliability" status you must have resided in Canada for the last five (5) years and for "Secret" level, the last ten (10) years. 

 

 

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $122,000.00, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
