Why this role exists

The way work gets done is being rewritten. AI is moving from pilots into everyday decisions. Business priorities are shifting faster than ever. And the traditional building block of how we organize people is evolving into something more dynamic: a skills-based model that sees people as whole individuals with capabilities that can be fluidly deployed to where they create the most value.

Deloitte isn't just advising clients through this shift, we're living it. And the gap between knowing the future of work is here and doing something about it is exactly where this role sits. You'll translate workforce, technology, and talent trends into an enterprise agenda that shapes how we attract, develop, deploy, and retain 15,000+ professionals across the firm — partnering with senior leaders to make decisions today that position the firm for what's next.

What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Manager within the People Transformation team, you will lead the Future of Work and Emerging Technology agenda. Your job is to never stop looking ahead: scanning the market, understanding how work is changing, and translating that into a clear point of view that drives enterprise priorities.

You'll be in rooms with senior leaders and HRBP’s, influencing direction, building alignment, and acting as a trusted conduit between what the firm needs and what the team builds, testing new ideas through proofs of concept and partnerships across the business.

About the team

The People Transformation team operates as an internal consulting function within Culture and People, delivering enterprise-wide initiatives that enhance the employee experience and evolve Deloitte’s talent ecosystem.

This role sits within a dedicated Future of Work capability, which acts as a catalyst for new ideas and enterprise change. Reporting into the Director, People Technology, you’ll collaborate with the and Future of Work & Emerging Technology (Enablement Lead) to lead a small, high-impact team of Specialists.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with these required skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Future of Work Strategy & Innovation
    • Proven ability to synthesize workforce, talent, and technology trends and translate them into a point of view on what matters, why it matters now, and what the firm should do about it.
  • Executive Engagement & Relationship Leadership
    • Experience working with senior leaders to shape direction, influence decisions, and build alignment - including managing resistance and influencing outcomes, sometimes without direct authority.
  • Experience in Workforce Strategy, Future of Work, or Talent Innovation
    • Domain context in how organizations think about talent, workforce planning, or the employee experience.
  • Innovation Pipeline Development
    • Ability to identify and prioritize opportunities and translate them into a clear pipeline of initiatives.
  • Strategic Storytelling & Influence
    • Strong ability to package complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives for executive audiences.
  • Enterprise Perspective & Systems Thinking
    • Ability to connect insights across initiatives and shape an integrated view of change
  • Leadership & Capability Building
    • Experience building capability in others — whether through direct team leadership, mentoring, or standing up new functions or practices that didn't previously exist

It would be great for you to have some of these nice to have’s as well:

  • Experience standing up a new function or capability from scratch
  • Exposure to HR technology ecosystems and emerging capabilities (e.g., AI)
  • Experience shaping enterprise-level strategy or transformation agendas

You don't need to check every box. If you see yourself in most of this and you're excited by the mandate, we'd love to hear from you. This role will be shaped by the person in it — and we're looking for someone who's ready to help define what comes next.
