What will your typical day look like?

Your typical day will consist of managing private tax compliance and advisory engagements from planning through delivery. You will work with privately held businesses, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals, family offices, partnerships and trusts, and will be responsible for managing the full engagement lifecycle, including planning, coordination, review, client communication and timely completion of deliverables. 

You will:

  • Review Canadian tax filings, including T1, T2, T3, T5013, NR4 and related information returns, while identifying tax issues, managing risk and supporting practical planning opportunities.
  • Manage tax provision support for audit and review engagements, including reviewing current and deferred tax calculations, tax notes and related supporting documentation;
  • Coordinate with assurance teams and clients to identify and resolve tax provision issues in a timely and practical manner; and
  • Coach junior team members, provide timely feedback and help create a strong learning environment.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • Undergraduate degree; accounting designation is an asset.
  • Master's degree in Taxation or enrolled in/completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in Canadian tax.
  • Experience with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision-making, documentation, management of client expectations, and team leadership.
  • Strong experience with private client tax compliance, including T1, T2, T3, T5013, NR4 and related filings;
  • Experience managing tax files through the full engagement lifecycle;
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proven ability to coach, supervise and develop junior team members;
  • Strong client service skills and the ability to communicate clearly with clients and internal stakeholders;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files, priorities and deadlines;
  • Technology acumen in AI-powered tools, and evolving tax technologies, with a passion for driving innovation and automation;
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $140,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
