The Deloitte Technology IT Disaster Recovery and Resiliency Manager is responsible for managing and advancing the technology resiliency program across Deloitte Technology. Reporting to the Director of Process Optimization and Service Assurance, this role translates enterprise strategy into actionable disaster recovery standards, plans, testing activities, metrics, and remediation efforts that help ensure critical technology services remain available, recoverable, and aligned with business priorities. The individual partners closely with technology leaders, architects, engineers, analysts, product and service owners, and cross-functional stakeholders—including the Global Security Office, Technology Risk Office, and member firm BC/DR leaders—to coordinate recovery planning, validate readiness, and drive continuous improvement. This leader will apply industry practices and recognized frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, PMBOK, CMMI, ISO 22301, and ISO 27001 to support consistent and effective recovery and resiliency processes.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and continuously improve the Technology Disaster Recovery and Resiliency program within Deloitte Technology, including standards, planning, testing, reporting, governance routines, and improvement activities.
  • Partner with competency area leads and key stakeholders to identify action owners, define accountabilities, and ensure timely execution, testing, and adherence to IT disaster recovery & resiliency plans.
  • Coordinate the design, implementation, and execution of disaster recovery capabilities across service and product teams and related supporting functions.
  • Support technology and business leaders in translating the resiliency strategy and roadmap into objectives, work plans, key performance indicators, and measurable outcomes for business continuity, disaster recovery, and broader technology resilience initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the execution and effectiveness of resiliency plans, including periodic exercises, functional recovery testing, tabletop simulations, and remediation of identified gaps.
  • Ensure alignment of resiliency strategies with the overall information technology strategy, enterprise risk posture, security requirements, and other IT service management processes.
  • Produce and deliver key outputs including resiliency strategies, recovery plans, testing schedules, executive dashboards, metrics, and risk or audit reports.
  • Partner with Controls and Assurance teams to integrate resiliency requirements into audit readiness activities, ensure testing evidence is current, and support internal and external audits through issue tracking and remediation oversight
  • Implement and improve global processes, governance routines, standards, and reporting that track DR plan coverage, exercise completion, remediation actions, and overall recovery readiness.

Qualifications

 

Primary Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Management, or a related field require
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in complex business and information systems environments
  • At least 3 years of experience leading teams, major workstreams, or cross-functional technology programs
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience focused on IT business continuity planning, disaster recovery, or technology resilience
  • Demonstrated experience in IT support processes, operational controls, and service management functions
  • Strong understanding of industry frameworks and best practices, including ITIL, COBIT, PMBOK, CMMI, ISO 22301, and ISO 2700
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional programs, influencing stakeholders, and delivering resiliency initiatives in a large enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing or materially improving an enterprise IT disaster recovery program in a large, complex, multinational organization
  • Hands-on experience supporting DR planning for a broad mix of business-critical business applications, including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, COTS platforms, and custom-developed applications
  • Strong understanding of recovery patterns across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments
  • Ability to translate BIA outputs into practical technology recovery requirements, including RTOs, RPOs, minimum business continuity objectives, and recovery sequencing
  • Strong understanding of tiering models and recovery prioritization aligned to business criticality
  • Understanding of common recovery patterns such as active-active, active-passive, pilot light, warm standby, and backups-based recover
  • Strong track record defining and using KRIs/KPIs, such as:  % of critical apps with validated DR plans; Test execution and success rates; RTO/RPO adherence; open risk and remediation item
  • Understands linkages to Business Continuity, Technology Operations, and Architecture

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Management or related field.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Business Continuity Management Module. 
  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification is not required but is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM or similar service management platforms is a plus.

 

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
