What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Consultant in sustainability strategy, you will play a key role in the development and execution of World Climate, Deloitte’s sustainability strategy including reaching net-zero emissions by 2040. You will leverage your sustainability expertise, project management abilities and excellence in communication and stakeholder engagement to advance the global sustainability agenda.
In this role you will:
- Serve as the Sustainable Travel and Aviation lead, including managing implementation of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) commitments across the Deloitte network.
- Lead efforts to redesign the approach business travel emissions by bringing more granularity to business travel data and allowing further insights into business travel
- Serve as the Nature lead integrating nature considerations into the net-zero strategy and transition plan, and leading work on material nature impacts including water.
- Manage modelling efforts in relation to net-zero goal, maintain global assumptions, and support modelling software rollout and use across the network
- Lead the development of sustainability communications materials for internal and external audiences.
- Convene stakeholders, solicit input, and gather consensus on the key elements and actions in Deloitte’s sustainability strategy.
- Engage with functional areas to implement the priority actions of Deloitte’s strategy, with a focus on procurement and travel. Integrate sustainability and ESG considerations into business operations and decision-making processes.
- Effectively manage deliverables, team members and stakeholders in a dynamic environment, prioritizing activities across multiple workstreams and bringing regimented planning.
About the team
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
- 4 year Bachelor’s degree required. BA or BS in one of the following fields preferred: Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Information Technology, Economics or other technical field;
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience including project management, sustainability and communications;
- Deep understanding of the global environmental sustainability landscape;
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects independently and ensure high quality deliverables within established timeframes;
- Proven ability to develop and implement business strategy in collaboration with a broad group of stakeholders;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal, written and presentation) and stakeholder management skills;
- Detail oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced dynamic environment; and
- Superb Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Sustainability certification or formal education in sustainability.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
