What will your typical day look like?


The Solution Train Engineer owns, directs, and manages the day-to-day execution of the Program Increment (PI) plan for the People technology team and is the primary point of escalation for all team impediments. In collaboration with the leadership, Release Train Engineer, and the stakeholders, they define the PI scope, goals and deliverables that support defined Global People and Deloitte Technology goals. They are responsible to coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.




  • Work with leadership, stakeholders, and release train engineers to develop full-scale PI plans and effectively communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Manage and oversee day to day activities of team and ensure adherence to enterprise standards in SAFe Agile project methodology, requirements gathering, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Estimate resources (human and other) required to achieve project goals and manage assigned budget throughout execution of project.
  • Identify and resolve issues, risks and conflicts within the project team.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify possible crises and devise contingency plans.
  • In certain circumstances, operate as Scrum Master for project team, otherwise conduct Scrum of Scrums to ensure delivery is proceeding on schedule
  • Monitor emerging technology trends within assigned product/technology area
  • Manage relationship and interactions with vendors (software or contractors)

You are someone with:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or equivalent professional experience or qualifications;
  • 10-15 years of experience in technical project execution/leadership and/or technology consulting on large enterprise projects
  • Experience in HR/Talent processes
  • Experience with SuccessFactors and SAP HR; Advanced MS Office experience
  • SAFe Certified
  • Advanced proficiency in Agile software development lifecycle
  • Strong project management experience dealing with projects of different sizes
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse client groups, preferably on a global basis
  • Ability to manage concurrent initiatives and use effective judgment in prioritization and time management
  • Proven ability to present materials to diverse senior audiences
  • Excellent analytical/problem solving ability; Strong influence and negotiation skills
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Creative and Independent thinking
