The Solutions Delivery Development Leader will play an integral role in advancing and driving change in the Solutions Delivery organization's development practice.

The candidate is a goal and results driven leader who comes from a software engineering background that has gradually progressed to a technical delivery lead with a passion for delivering quality and cutting-edge software solutions.

They will have an inquisitive mind who is never satisfied with the status quo and looking to continually improve the team and organization through technology, process, learning and culture change.

Is adept to modern technology standards, software architecture patterns and is continually learning and keeping skills up to date in line with the today's technology landscape.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Establish a Development Practice organization that defines, documents software development architecture patterns, principles and best practices.
  • Develops software development strategies and tactically implements, monitors and can adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Follows industry standards and best practices new and old that will guide and lead development teams to work from a consistent set of principles.
  • Works with leaders across the Deloitte network to broaden, understand and raise awareness to insights and innovations from across the network.
  • Will be an evangelist working concurrently with multiple teams and projects ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Works closely with the architecture team to continually review and implement architecture patterns in a changing and growing environment.
  • Establishes relationships and alliances and works together in a collaborative manner to instill a common purpose of overall objectives across teams, service lines and the firm.
  • Mentors, coaches and develops learning paths for development teams that will increase competencies, delivery performance and code quality.
  • Identifies and resolves gaps within the development teams and addresses issues through targeted action plans.

Will build conceptual application architectures and develop application PoCs that will be used as learning instruments by the development teams

About the team

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

  • 10+ years’ experience as a software engineer / full-stack developer and technical delivery leader
  • Experienced leading and mentoring development teams
  • Has a passion for development and is up-to-date on application architecture concepts, patterns, best practices and principles
  • Understands the importance of solid user experience designs and is up to date with current UI frameworks e.g. Angular, React, Vue
  • Expert in the Microsoft platforms, technology dev stack, and Azure Cloud
  • Experience with DevOps principles
  • Is a collaborative, results driven leader with superb communication and presentation skills
  • Develops, nurtures and maintains relationships
  • Is a strategic and big picture thinker
  • Understands the end-to-end of SDLC within an Agile framework
