What will your typical day look like?

 

As a Senior Security Consultant at the Cyber Intelligent Centre (CIC), you are a self-motivated, energetic and results oriented individual with a passion for security. In-depth knowledge of security monitoring, security operations processes, threat management, and common industry technologies are critical to the successful delivery and execution of managed security services offered by Deloitte. Day to day, you will investigate security incidents, you will take an active part in the resolution of incidents, even after they are escalated, you will act as a point of contact for CIC inquiries and matters requiring further investigation, work with the various teams and technology owners on security investigations and conclude on whether an incident has occurred. You will be on-call every 4 weeks on a rotating to cover 24/7 operations. Occasional onsite client work may be required.

Our Cyber Intelligence Centre (CIC) is a 24/7 managed security service monitoring and responding to cyber threats, helping organizations protect their networks, systems, applications, information and reputation in real-time. We help clients remain vigilant and defend against emerging threats and cyber-attacks with intelligent, secure and resilient solutions.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

You are someone who has:
•    3+ years of work experience within a Security Operations Centre (SOC)
•    A Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in a relevant area of study with a preference for Computer Science, Information Security or Computer Engineering.
•    Ability to obtain secret government clearance; please review the Government of Canada website to ensure you meet the eligibility requirements
•    Technical experience with SOAR, MDR, EDR, NAC solutions
•    Direct prior experience with core security technologies such as security information and event monitoring systems (SIEM), network and host intrusion prevention and detection systems, and anti-virus solutions
•    Good working knowledge of MITRE attack framework
•    Industry certifications (GCIH, GSEC, GISF, GMON, OSCP)
•    Strong analytical and investigative skills
