What will your typical day look like?

As an Audit Senior Manager, you will provide valuable solutions to our clients on current business and financial conditions.  We will depend on you to manage the overall planning, economics and execution of audit engagements, leading teams all while mentoring and coaching team members to their highest potential.  Your role will have a direct contribution to the growth and development of the practice, and you will have the opportunity to work with high profile clients on various engagements carried out in Canada. 

About the team

Our Audit practice goes far beyond basic auditing.  This group understands specific business sectors which enables them to anticipate issues that will affect our clients.  The result? Value-added service that ensure our clients can meet challenges and take advantage of opportunities. Audit opportunities exist for CPAs wanting to be immersed in collaborating with the Canadian insurance industry in the sprint to the January 1, 2023 effective date of the new Insurance Accounting Standard, IFRS 17. Join the Deloitte IFRS 17 Audit Team, as Canadian insurers prepare for their first ever IFRS 17 financial statements! 

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

  • You are a CPA, or equivalent and want to join a highly skilled professional and solution orientated IFRS 17 team in Canada?
  • You have 6-8 years of relevant work experience in audit, and are passionate about technical insurance accounting, or aspire to be. 
  • You have some insurance industry knowledge and experience or are interested in the industry and you enjoy challenges, are successful in project management and thrive working in a fast pace, go getting environment where the well-being of our people is paramount, in addition to their growth and development
  • You are successful in project management and thrive working in a fast pace, go getting environment where the well-being of our people, their growth and development are paramount. 
  • You have experience with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communication and management
  • You have the proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities.
